Chapter 3 - Orion(III)

I woke up in Heaven, literally.

This being told me I had been chosen amidst an infinite amount of lives across space and time, as one of the Seven Chosen Seraphims.

I was granted power no mortal could ever imagine and quantify as I became Orion, God's Wisdom and Truth.

For trillions upon trillions of immortal cycles, I spent my time with God and the six other Seraphims shaping and protecting existence.

We built everything from the ground up and my role was to design it all, from the most useless to the most important of things.

As time passed, the anger within my heart faded and my life as a human became nothing but a distant blur.

What was a few thousand years to an angel like me who had lived for more years than even immortals could fathom?

My life had become a peaceful routine.

As the Lord of Truth and Wisdom, I became enamoured with the gathering of knowledge so whenever I wasn't working, I spent my time reading the books present within Heaven's library.

When I finished all those books and asked the father for more, he only gave me a map of libraries scattered across the mortal worlds we had created.

Just like that, I'd found a new hobby. As I stayed in the Heavens, a clone of mine adventured through the folds of existence in search of more knowledge.

"Let me guess. It all turns to shit?" Sarcastically said the voice to which I only lightly smiled.

There was a rebellion brewing within our ranks.

Everyone could feel it, this darkness and tension that constantly loomed over us, it was suffocating, unbearably so but we all ignored it, having full belief in the Father's unending power.

I stayed away from all this, until I was approached by my little brother, Lucifer.

He came to me, as a boy full of life and ambition and claimed to be leading the rebellion that was to come.

He wanted me and the other four to join him. Seeing this, I didn't think much of his sinful ambition and only saw it as a teenage crisis so I calmly refused and promised him not to divulge anything to the Father.

In my mind, a question couldn't help but pop up. What difference would it make? Whether I told him or not, the Father's power was beyond omnipotence and omniscience. There was nothing Luci could've done to cause harm to the Heavens, or so I thought at the time.

On the day of the rebellion, the flames that engulfed the heavens had been beyond traumatising.

Three quarters of my little brothers and sisters had rebelled, joined by a group of mortals claiming to be 'cultivators'.

Due to the presence of those mortals, the war was surprisingly fair as my brothers and I fought against the most powerful ones while the youngest fought the unending army of corrupted angels.

This war raged for longer than I had lived as an angel as I sunk back into the pool of blood that had drowned me during my human days.

This senseless carnage continued until the Father had enough and laid his divine decree.

Lucifer and his angels would fall to the earth as they would be banished from the Heavens, forever.

On that day, the Fallen were born.

With the Heavens in shambles and the painful loss of an uncountable amount of my brothers, I decided to take things into my own hands and rebuild everything, bringing us back to our previous glory and prestige.

As I took over and healed the heavens and laid holy decrees to protect the mortals from the fallen, my mind couldn't help but get lost in its own thoughts and doubt the Father.

Why hadn't he stopped this? Why had so much blood needed to be spilled for him to act? Why hadn't he stopped my little brother from making such a foolish mistake? He knew all, so why?

Burying these thoughts at the back of my mind, I started practising the cultivation arts I'd found in the mortal libraries. The strength the Humans had shown was too great for them to be the only wielders of it.

I was strong, unbelievably so, we all were but we could be stronger, much stronger. So I decided to create a myriad of cultivation techniques and arts and spread them to my brothers and sisters.

Time passed and our power exponentially rose over time, as the wounds of the first war of heaven slowly healed but unfortunately, fate had other plans for us.

The First War of Creation Occurred.

Cultivators, The Fallen and Outer beings all attacked at once and caught us by surprise.

I'd always felt like something existed beyond the Father's domain but now, I knew for a fact we weren't alone.

The war raged and we lost, horribly. Apart from me and the other five seraphims, no one could hold a candle to these monsters

By the end of it all, everyone was dead except the six of us.

They had stolen something within Heaven called 'Seal of Permanence' and had managed to open the gates of our world which they called a Chaos Heaven.

During such a time of chaos, loss and grief, anger consumed my entire being as I finally committed my first cardinal sin and Fell.

I had become a fallen.

My five siblings tried to convince me to come back but I refused, disgusted by the Father beyond what words could define.

I left and explored all the mortal worlds we had created, in search of knowledge I scoured through an endless amount of libraries and when I had read it all, I left.

I explored countless foreign Chaos Heavens as a semblance of peace returned to my life.

I cultivated, researched, discovered and enjoyed what I couldn't in the past. I was immortal after all, time held no meaning to me.

I eventually decided to settle down and create an organisation called Holy Cradle, a place of gathering for the seekers of knowledge and truth.

Hell, I even managed to find a wife, remarry and have kids but alas…

"For fucks sake, you really are unlucky. Poor soul."

It was on a simple day. I was reading a book I'd just found to my wife as she fed our youngest while the two oldest were practicing a few of their magic spells, a peaceful day.

Before I could even react, the Father appeared in the flesh for the first time and without warning slaughtered them all.

He then went on to burn and tear down everything I had built from the ground up.

This was the day I fell, truly and irreversibly.

I fell into a pit of unholy rage as my very seraphic nature shifted and shattered leaving place to an aura of utter and unbridled sin.

Empowered by this awakening I raided the Heavens and fought the Father with all I had, not caring about my life but to my despair…

He didn't claim the Title of God for no reason.

Leaving me alive, he simply threw me out of the Heavens.

For the next billions of Eons I'd simply cultivate, find ways to get stronger then attack in hopes of killing him.

After god knows how long, I felt something stabilise within me.

My Holy and Sinful Nature had balanced out and brought forth a new kind of power.

Between the two, acting as a bridge was something of unending and eternal power that titled itself 'Exior Seed'.
