Nidhogg POV:
The demons that were once cowering behind the rubble of buildings were now boldly rallying behind Droopy as they heard his words. I knew of them because of my ability to sense mana, but I wasn't worried about them. Since my ability didn't work on Droopy, I doubted any of them could face against it.
Droopy, despite his massive size reduction, is also prepared to face off again, so I go to activate Beelzebub. Just as I go to do so, my body freezes as I sense an extreme pressure of mana. My body started trembling as a creeping sense of dread filled my body. Then, as quickly as it appeared, my body relaxed as I came back to my senses. On high alert, I jump away from Droopy and his minions.
Which one of them was capable of invoking fear on me? But as I look at them, I see they too were terrified, even Droopy himself as they ducked low. Seeing that they weren't the cause of this can only tell me that this matter is worse than what I had originally thought. I cautiously duck behind some nearby ruins, hoping that what I think isn't what's happening.
A kilometer away, the air hums as a blue dot appears and grows bigger. The center snaps open as hundreds of demons spill out of it, charging the city. But my concerns weren't for them, but the one figure that emerges as well.
A four-armed demoness with tall horns that wrapped down her ears walks out. Each arm was toned, swelling with muscles as she proudly sported her six-pack. She strode confidently out of the portal and the moment she did, an aura of mana lashed out at the surrounding area. The very air turned against us as our movements became sluggish. The pressure assaulted us, forcing us to almost bow in her presence.
Struggling against it, I knew instantly who this was. This was the fabled Demon King of Destruction. But what was she doing here? From his memories, he knew that they rarely left their own fortress unguarded as it was well known that only a Demon King could stop another.
General POV:
Runes floated around the Demon King as he tried to attune it to an element. A bubble forms around it as it explodes, and he writes down some information. He was about to do it again but paused as he sensed something.
'What is that crazy demon doing now?'
Placing everything down, a green hole opens in the space before him as he walks through it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She rolled her eyes at the city before her. He had a problem always copying the stuff he liked from humans. He went as far as to build cities like they do as if demons possessed the ability to co-exist with each other. She spit on the ground in disgust, causing it to fizzle and bubble.
Her trusted general bowed beside her, "I'm heading out, milady." She nods to him, as he speeds off into the city. Having some downtime while she waits for her part of the plan, she takes a second to search for the one demon who made this possible.
From the information provided to her, this demon was supposed to be massive and standing above the buildings that were here. Surveying the city, she saw no such demon. Instead, she saw destruction, with a large chunk of the city missing as a group of demons were trembling. She spotted the one she recognized as Droopy. The ruler of this city, but he was smaller than she remembered. Perhaps the demon had fought Droopy and lost, which would mean it wasn't worth her time.
However, she felt something that made her smile. He was trying to hide it, but her sensing was on another level, so she felt him. He had evolved once again. Two evolutions in so short of a time was insane on any standard. If left to his own devices, he would no doubt become another Demon King. No, maybe even a Demon God.
She turned to face him, intending to grab him right then and there, but a green portal opened up in the air beside her. Ugh, her general will have to deal with him, while she focused her attention on this one.
The Demon King of Knowledge looked unimpressed at the Demon King of Destruction before him. "What do you think you are doing, Shiva. You used your portal to siege me instead of the human world?" He asks her.
"Yeah well, circumstances led me to you, Iros. Hope you don't mind." She responds.
"Of course I mind, you're intruding on my territory. And if you think I won't defend it, you're going to be sorely mistaken."
She punches out, as a wave of red and black aura comes out at him. A shield appears, blocking the energy that goes around him and continues on. Behind him, buildings and demons alike are instantly dissolved into dust.
"Hah. I expected that to happen. One of these days I'll catch you off guard and actually get you." She loudly proclaims laughing as her sneak attack failed.
"That's...." He sighs shaking his head in frustration. "You already know how my ability works, so you know that you can never catch me off guard, much less kill me like that."
She smiles, "Yeah, that makes this all the more fun."
The surrounding air became heavy with the pressure the two were exhibiting. Each Demon King faced each other, and demons in the area caught in the crossfire didn't dare move. However, Nidhogg could as he had grown accustomed to pressure that they were exerting but he remained still. He'd heard stories of the power that a Demon King had, so it wasn't everyday he would get the chance to see their strength.
As he watched them from a distance, he could feel his hunger yearning for more. It was calling him towards them, but he ignored it. But he couldn't help but lick his teeth in anticipation as the thought of consuming a Demon King was on his mind. What power would he gain from doing so? But managing to hold those thoughts back, he looked on.
