Chapter 1 - Enter Sora King (P1)- The Magic Academy

The Interstellar Magic Academy of Phoenix City China is one of 12 great magic teaching Institutions that takes in Orphans in all of China. The children are accepted for their first year and depending entirely on their effort, they would be allowed to stay in future years till graduation. It was the first day and the general assembly for class assignment was in half an hour and there was a particular student that wasn't going to make it initial. They lay in an alleyway beside the school sitting in a reclined position with their head dropped and their eyes closed.

This student wore a black top with black trousers and white trainers. He had rough and bruised light cream skin, he had a fairly average build with no muscle toning whatsoever, he had short plain black hair that was covered in dirt, his shirt was bloodied up and blood leaked from the side of his head as he sat unconscious. This was the body Sora was going to take over, following a series of bone readjustments and wound healing, Sora's deep red eyes opened slowly as he had a splitting headache.

Sora's vision blurred as his head throbbed and his joints felt stiff. He weakly pushed himself up onto one knee and leaned on it while trying to find his balance on the wall his body rested on earlier, he pushed himself up to his feet off of his hand and walked out of the alley slowly, as he did so a wave of memories flashed through his mind. When the original Sora's memories stopped flooding into Sora King's head the scholar's pounding headache stopped and his vision cleared as he processed the knowledge he just took in.

The original Sora was fairly Lazy as a kid, never really doing more than he was required to, Never interacting with the other children in the orphanage he came from and he was even bullied very frequently, he threw away many essential relationships and even now at the age of 16 he had nothing going for him besides is acceptance to the first year of The Interstellar Magic academy first year. And despite him needing to attend the general assembly in half an hour, he lay there on the ground bloodied and dead, hell If the Scholar had never taken over the corpse absolutely nothing would have changed in the daily life of the school, realizing how much time he was wasting just kneeling out here Sora gritted his teeth and wobbled to his feet. Sora stumbled towards the student accommodations he was put in the week before and showered before getting changed into a full white wool jumper, a pair of light brown jeans, and a different pair of white trainers, he needed no bag yet so he rushed out and just barely made it to the assembly before first roll call was taken.

50 first years, 25 male and female students, had their roll call taken they were broken into 5 classes of 10 students via a ranking selection of 5 male and 5 female students each. Sora was assigned to class 1E and his classmates were as follows, bear in mind only 10 of the students present were orphans in this particular year:

Sora (M)- 16 yo

Xiao Lumin (F)- 16 yo

Xu Ron (M)- 15 yo

Wie Xiren (F)- 16 yo

Huang Bo-lin (M)- 16 yo

Huang Su-Lin (F)- 16 yo

Zhu Longwei (M)- 16 yo

Yu Narong (F)- 16 yo

Mu Hanjin (M)- 17 yo

Mu Rina (F)- 16 yo

As far as Sora knew there wasn't a single member of this class that liked the original owner of his body, so much so that Sora wouldn't be surprised if he ever discovered that they put his body's original owner's murderers up to the task. This is why he was looking around for someone who was Irked by him being alive, however, the lack of reaction told him it was likely not anyone in his immediate class. The class was divided into two columns, on the left sat Lumin, Xiren, Bo-Lin, Hanjin, and Sora from front to back; and on the right sat Longwei, Ron, Su-lin, Rina, and Narong from front to back. Sora was surprised at how silent people were as they waited for the teacher of class 1C to walk in with their awakening crystal.

Unlike most people of the modern age, it was common knowledge back in Sora's era that you could control what element you could awaken, Unfortunately, the methods were lost and only the rare elites of the world still knew of them, now it was something along the lines of a gacha roulette system that ran on luck and talent to determine your elements at all levels. What they didn't know, however, was the fact that you could awaken more than one element at once. The reason it's not common knowledge is simply the fact that if you aren't compatible with the process you could either fail outright or end up having two elements without the mana amount or cultivation speeds to develop them both meaning you would likely spend four times as long breaking through to the intermediate level of magic.

The third problem that came with awakening two at once was simple, if you wanted to go up to the intermediate level of magic you would have to get to the 10th star of the basic level, They then have to build up twice as much mana as you would need than if you only had one element, he would then have to control his breakthrough progress manually to stop the surge of energy from damaging his mana core. If you manage to break through the limitations placed on your mana core to take it from a Basic core to an Intermediate core, you will be an intermediate mage and only then will you be able to awaken more elements.

Sora sat up straight on his chair as he meditated to mentally prepare himself for the two elements he planned to awaken, at the basic level Sora wasn't nearly as Naïve as the other students in his year who subconsciously thought that fire and lightning were the only route to take as a mage If you wanted a good foundation. These lots were right to some degree but if one was awakening two elements and awakened these two because you thought they were cool, you would be an idiot.

Sora had come up with a proper system to go through, he would start with destructive spells that would get him attention in the right places for training, he would then get the Space and ice elements for the evasive and crowd-controlling capabilities, only then would he allow himself to get the Healing and Psychic elements at the advanced level and then the Shadow and light elements at the profound level. Only once he had a solid foundation would Sora move to elements like Time, Summoning, Poison, and Curses.

Sora was knowledgeable yes, but he was more than self-aware enough to know that he was a genius of theory but worse than a noob in terms of actual practical experience, the closest he's come to real magic cultivation was when he meditated with some of his students to make the process more bearable. Even now he couldn't visualize a mage's internal mana crystal, he could talk about it and describe it all he wanted sure, but he would never actually be able to imagine it.

As far as he knew when one cultivated magic, they withdrew their consciousness into the depths of their soul, This was where they would find a large space that seemed to go on forever, within this space they would harness the energy of an awakening crystal and condense it endlessly until it formed a crystal within their soul, empty and almost lifeless. Once the crystal is formed the excess energy in your soul space can be manipulated at will to form your elements, The problem is that people don't know how to do it anymore so they don't know that they can even go as far awakening 2 or, for a rare few, 3 elements.
