A month and a half later.
I narrowed my eyes as I forced the metal part of the weapon's core. Then, releasing a blast of flames that nearly melted it into sludge, I cursed," Fluffy bullfrogs, this is a pain!"
I coughed slightly as I heard Thomas bark a laugh at my swearing as I made the metal cool down, fastening the metal to the outside of the barrel as Emily called," Alright, Xyverinos, time to come on down!"
Nodding in consent, I glided toward Emily as she spoke," How are you doing?"
I shrugged as Thomas walked over, laughing as I flicked my tail," Thomas, if you say one word about me swearing like that to anyone, I will turn you into a ball of ash and eat it."
He growled," I can't tell if you are joking."
Grinning at one of my oldest human friends," That's the point. Yeah, I am kidding, Thomas; you are one of the only humans I can stand."
He glared at me as he spoke, looking at Emily," Don't you have to get the little ball of fluff to the social?"
I growled and lunged at my human friend as I tackled him," I am not a little ball of fluff! Call me that again, and I will drag you around this place twice."
He heard my voice that had raised an octave. Thomas gulped as Emily snickered at her superior's misfortune. I was sitting on him or doing what my deceased brother, Innurth, once did, wrapping my tail around Thomas as Emily spoke," Alright, Xyv, let us go to the social. Maybe let him go."
I coughed again as I glanced back at Thomas and began walking," Yeah, no, I am dragging him for the ride."
Thomas pleaded," Let me go, Xyverinos! Please buddy for an old friend."
Emily giggled," Wow, stone-cold Thomas pleading to a six-year-old wyvern! I am so going to use it as blackmail for poker night."
Thomas yelled," You wouldn't dare!"
Emily challenged," Oh really. You know I would Thomas for last month's poker game."
I ignored them as I felt Thomas try to struggle and fail miserably to get out of my grip," Thomas, you can't get out. A wyvern or dragon's tail is made out of powerful muscles; it would take something thirty times stronger than a human to get out of. So yeah, I give up, Thomas."
I heard him groan in annoyance as I almost hit him on the corners of the wall. I heard Cyvin start to laugh when we entered the room," Why is Xyverinos dragging Thomas?"
I answered," Cause it is payback."
Thomas yelled," For what? Also, Xyverinos let go of me."
Instead of letting him go, I put more pressure as I heard him groan," Ow ow, my ribs Xyv loosen up, please!"
Doing so just a bit as I questioned," Why did I trap you, to begin with, Thomas, or did you forget what you called me?"
Spirit asked," And what did he call you?"
I pouted," A ball of fluff."
They all laughed as Thomas protested," See, they agree with me! Right?"
Cyvin managed to speak through gasped," If anything, Xyverinos is not a ball of fluff!"
Thomas muttered," Traitors, and you wouldn't be saying that now if you saw him when he was two years younger and much nicer."
I spoke, innocently looking at him over my shoulder," I am still nice except for those who call me a ball of fluff."
'Who am I kidding? It is true, though; I am still a ball of fluff.'
Shaking my head as Seldra spoke," Are you going to let him go?"
I sighed in defeat, releasing him, and as he went to stand up, I swiped at his legs with my tail, causing him to fall back on the ground with a thud," Ow, curse you, Xyv!"
Continuing to walk away towards the meeting area, I glanced back," Thomas isn't wrong; I am still a ball of fluff. But, for the love of my grandmother, I know that is true."
Coughing again, Cyvin caught up to me on my right side and asked," How is controlling your new flames going?"
I snorted," Not so well. The sun's flames are extremely hard to control and can immediately melt the metal. I have to push my telekinesis far more than before. I do admit it is nice to know I am almost ready to get back to 'work.'"
Spirit walked by my left side," And how close are you to hatching the plan?"
I stared ahead, whispering," Within the following year. I think I also know their plan for that weapon, that they want me to make sure I stop them."
Nearing the dome, we entered the large room as Enihieh raced off to a female earth dragon.
Confused, Typhoon, spoke," That is her mother. If I recall correctly."
I nodded as I headed towards Aldentoa, who seemed worn out. I smiled kindly," Hello, Aldentoa, it has been a few months."
She whirled around, and her wings wrapped around me as she spoke hurriedly and concerned," Are you alright? I heard you were sick. What happened?"
Blinking surprised, I coughed slightly," Yes, I am alright. Yes, I did get sick. I got sick because my powers were restrained for too long."
She sighed in relief as I chuckled," I assume you laid your eggs?"
She nodded as I smiled," Congrats again. Well, I am going to see you around."
She growled in a motherly tone that I missed a lot," You better stay safe and healthy."
I smiled softly as I turned to walk away. I swore,' I will get you out of here, Aldentoa.'
Time Skip one year later.
Now seven years old, I growled, looking at the almost finished machine, breathing outwards as large amounts of energy curled off me. Blue-white flames surrounded me as I began to hatch my plan. This last year, I had grown in size and power and found love in a beautiful silver wind wyverness. I was looking at the blueprints carefully out of the corner of my eye to ensure that the sabotaging I was planning was possible.
Controlling the last two pieces of metal needed for sabotaging this part, I felt the ground rumble beneath me as even more power was released from me. Using my powerful telekinesis, I used my flames to melt the metal to a perfect size while using my telekinesis to sculpt the little trap I had planned. I was fastening the small metal trap into a wedge in the back of the machine. The trap was made to puncture the stone that would suck in all the power, effectively exploding in their faces. I could not wait for that to happen.
Looking at what the humans called a clock showed I was well past my time frame. Gliding down, I landed gracefully as one of the staff members spoke," Done for the day, Xyverinos?"
I sighed," Yeah, Shyri is waiting for me outside. Judging from her anger, she is not happy."
The man laughed," Not even mates yet; she already whips you."
I shrugged," I don't know how to respond to that, but she is irritated at me as I promised her I would finish an hour ago."
She walked out of the room as Shyri growled and hissed," What took so long?"
Gulping, I replied," Lost track of time."
Her gray eyes bore into me," I love you, Xyv; I can tell when you are lying."
Walking through the hall with her, I sighed," Fine, I started my plan."
She flicked me with her tail," I know."
In an incredulous look," How?"
She smiled and giggled while our nails clicked on the floor," And you call yourself a mind reader."
I protested," Just because I can read minds doesn't mean I will read your mind!"
We stood before the SS ranked block as she sighed," Well, let us face the music of the bickerson."
The five solid metal steel doors opened up, left, right, left, and left. True to what Shyri said, Typhoon and Cyvin were in a yelling match. Enihieh and Spirit were talking with Seldra, who looked exasperated about something.
Having enough, I released my power as the arguing stopped," What are you guys screaming goats this late at night? If I hear one more peep out of any of you, I will throw you around the cell block with my telekinesis."
They all quieted down as Shyri laughed as we headed towards my cell. Curling up in the corner, I felt the warm scales of both my best friend and lover curl up to me.
I almost immediately heard her soft snores as I smiled lightly before following her into the sleep realm.
