Time seemed to move slowly as the humans thought about it. Seconds turned to minutes turned to half an hour before a much more confident voice called to me," How about you surrender Xyverinos!"
Snorting, I replied," I hold power here right now. I can obliterate this entire area quickly and kill all of you."
A human figure stepped away from a truck shadow, and in his hand, he held a gun. I snorted," You think a gun scares me anymore? Two years ago, it would have, but after what I have been through, it hardly even fazes me."
The man narrowed his eyes," You're more assertive, but what do you mean what you have gone through."
I looked at him dead in the eye," That would be telling now, wouldn't it. But, I will give you a hint; what is the one thing that can leave an injury on me."
The man's eyes widen in shock," H-how, just a year ago, you were nearly killed by one."
I answered," Easy by growing stronger to protect my friends in family. But, I didn't escape that battle unscathed."
Shifting ever so slightly, I revealed the scar on my shoulder. Then, lifting my wings, I revealed the other one," These are the injuries I sustained in two different battles. The one on my shoulder was the one I received during my final battle with Unla. Now, do you see why I am not afraid of you? Compared to fighting an Ersaicean, you humans are nothing but child's play."
Rocks from the meteorite above began to crumble off of it as I spoke softly," If it were up to me, I would ask to make a peace treaty. However, due to my powers of sensing emotions and reading minds, do you think this doesn't take a toll on me? I hate causing pain to others. Without any doubt, though, I am doing this for my friends, family, and the rest of my comrades."
Everyone was looking at me; while I felt uncomfortable with everyone's gazes on me, I pushed it down," Leave, please. I don't want to cause any more death and destruction."
The man suddenly laughed," You, with all your power, don't want to cause any more death and destruction! You are one of the strongest creatures in existence! You the son of Queen Shondrass!"
I breathed outwards," Do you know what my mother's wish was,"
That caught his attention as I continued," It was peace."
The man growled," That is an impossible dream."
I landed facing them," What will you do now that you know my goal."
Reading his mind, I heard,' So this is the power he possesses, and what he uses it for. What a waste; once we collar him, however, we can easily force him to do the opposite!'
I answered my question after reading his mind," So you guys want destruction. That's a shame, really, because of that you have lost."
His eyes turned towards me, shocked as he growled," How do you know that!"
I looked at him softly," Because I read your mind."
His eyes widened in shock," What powers do you have?!"
I responded," Why should I tell you anything? You are already seeing some of them in action."
He glared at me as I moved the meteorite, so it was right overhead," Next time, remember who has the power to drop a meteorite, that is, if you survive."
Flicking my tail, I sent it hurling towards them, only for an explosion to hit it, destroying it immediately.
My eyes were wide in shock,' What in the world destroyed something that big!'
I had my answer as a loud screeching sound came from behind them. The man grinned," Excellent timing; the elemental cannon works perfectly!"
Slyrak came from behind me, pointing with his tail with a growl," Those humans, they are using the power of wyverns, dragons, unicorns, and phoenixes to power it, look!"
He was right as I took notice where he pointed. A fire dragon and a fire wyverness, a lightning dragoness, a wind wyvern, an earth dragoness, two water wyverness, five Unicorns, and three phoenixes stood chained and connected a large barrel. My fellow-creatures were channeling fire, lightning, wind, earth, water, and magic into the barrel.
Breathing out, I glanced at Slyrak," Hold them off. Then, I can take out the barrel."
Slyrak smirked," Yeah, but how."
White flames surrounded me as I smiled," Easy, not a lot of things can handle the power of spirit fire; if that doesn't work, well, a full-powered magic blast should do it. When I use that, cover me. I will need several seconds to muster up the magical power."
He nodded as I opened my mouth as the white flames slowly condensed in my mouth and quickly sped up until a giant miniature sun appeared. Again, releasing the omnipotent flames, but this time they were tinged with blue. Releasing the flames at the cannon, it impacted the cannon, causing a shockwave of white flames, and the next thing that happened shocked us to the core; the flames were sucked into the cannon, glowing white.
Slyrak stammered," W-what just happened?!"
Shaking my head," I don't know."
He whirled towards me," Yet you can see the future!"
I admitted," I can, but I am too scared to use that power; it scares me last time I used it; I couldn't sleep for a week. What I saw scared me. I will explain to you why it's so dangerous, the power to see the future. Either way, now it isn't the time for this!"
Golden magic energy flared from me as Slyrak growled," Alright, fine, let's do this."
The arrogant man yelled," Stop him!"
All my teachers and former leaders moved to stop me. Slyrak used his wind to place a protective barrier around us, combined with flames. Splitting half my focus, I put a barrier of light around us as I continued to amass magic.
Slyrak whispered," Xyv, what happens if the magic gets sucked in."
Shaking my head, I answered," I haven't thought ahead that far. I guess I will have to use my power of future sight."
The golden magic was beginning to fluctuate as the output increased.
I breathed out, preparing to speak the spell," Slyrak, get ready to drop the barriers. Incantation: Origin of Magic! Spear of the Sky!"
The magic around me changed shapes into a helix as I dropped the light barrier.
The magic condensed into a spear of magic. The spear was at least the size of Elder Storm. Flicking my tail, I sent the giant spear of magic towards the cannon, and on the impact, an explosion on par with the bombs the humans used. When the smoke cleared, the cannon was well cracked as I breathed outwards, drained from lack of magical energy.
Breeze chuckled," That is your most potent spell, no?"
Looking at my former teacher, I replied," It is my strongest yes, for now, that is."
Kirara gulped," I have seen that look in his eye once before, and well, Sun, Moon, and myself regretted what we did."
I smiled softly at them," Sorry, teachers, but I think it's time I finish this battle!"
Spears of light, tendrils of flames, forks of lightning, and twisters appeared, hundreds of them around me as I breathed outwards," You have lost."
Releasing all my power as the twisters touched the clouds spinning around the entire army, with lightning flashing in the sky, the ground was set ablaze as spirit fire raced across the battlefield. Breathing out, I used my telekinetic powers to grab the energy cannon and crush it in a vise-like grip destroying it.
Breathing out, I concentrated as Slyrak hissed," Tell me more about the power over future sight."
Glancing at the son of Inferno, I breathed out, keeping my focus on the elements I was using," The ability comes with great responsibility; you must never change the future. In addition, I possess another kind of future sight, called battle sight, which allows me to see attacks several seconds before it happens. Now back to regular Future Sight, I can follow multiple timelines and learn what happens in each of them. When I first used the ability to use future sight a year ago, I saw everything up to exactly now happening. Meeting you and your family, us training together, his death, the only thing that was clouded for me was reaching Seraphim ranked and the cannon thing. Those were surprises, without a doubt."
Slyrak nodded in understanding," Alright."
The man in charge called out over the wind," Xyverinos, why don't you surrender!"
Confused, I responded," I hold power here. You are trapped."
He made a hand signal as I froze in shock as I uttered," Sasha."
True to my eyes, Sasha was restrained, and the man held a gun to her head.
Slyrak whispered," Who is she?"
I replied," She helped me when I got significantly injured after the Valley of Wind got attacked. I was with her for two or so weeks before Elder Storm helped me get here."
Narrowing my eyes,' How Thomas swore he would protect her...unless they went behind his back and arrested her. If there is anything I know about Thomas, he will do anything to keep his word to his friends.'
The man smirked," So you do know her; how about you take down the little show of power you are doing."
I breathed outwards as I watched him press the gun into her head more firmly," Xyverinos, I will shoot her if you don't take down this barrier!"
I breathed outwards as I dropped the flames, wind, and lightning. The spears of light dissipated," Fine, but if you harm her, I will kill you."
Sasha looked at me with tears in her eyes as I spoke in her mind,' Hello Sasha, it has been some time.'
Focusing back on the man, he now excluded a different kind of aura, one of confidence.
I mused,' So that other facade was not his authentic self. Why didn't I see that before.'
I called out," How about we take this elsewhere."
The man smirked," Very well."
Jumping into the air as Slyrak started to follow me," Don't follow me; this is my decision."
Slyrak growled," Why are you risking yourself for a human?!"
I answered," Because she is a very close friend to my family and me."
Without another word, I flew towards a valley behind enemy lines and landed softly. The man appeared riding a wind dragon back; Sasha was still held at gunpoint. He spoke," Pleasure to meet you, Xyverinos. Officially that is."
I replied," Let her go."
He chuckled as he spoke," Surrender, and I promise I will withdraw and leave without harming anyone else."
The way he said this with so much confidence, like he knew he was going to win.
Breathing out, I spoke," I also want your word that you will never touch my family, friends, or anyone else. If I hear you do that, I will obliterate the entire world. I have a gut feeling I am near equipollence. It won't take much to send me over the edge."
He acknowledged what I said," Of course, you have my word that W.D.D.C will not touch any of your friends, family, or any of the other dragons, wyverns, unicorns, and phoenixes here."
I nodded," Alright, yes, I surrender."
Sasha yelled," Xyverinos, don't do it!"
Looking at one of my oldest friends," Sasha, you know perfectly well I would do it in a heartbeat; don't try to tell me otherwise. Please take care of my friends and my sister."
I whispered in her mind, "Make sure she doesn't come after me, I will get out, but I am not sure when."
Tears were coming from her eyes as the man spoke," I will introduce myself; I am the Commander of W.D.D.C. I usually don't come out for Wyverns."
I breathed outwards," Nice to know."
The man spoke," Sasha, sorry for how I treated you, Thomas will never forgive me, but it must be done to get a hold of Xyverinos."
I snorted, holding back tears," You used my love for my friends against me."
He nodded as he took out a collar," Come here, Xyverinos."
Sighing internally, I stepped forward as he did the same; I knew I could kill him right now, but that wind dragon might have orders to attack if I strike.
The Commander spoke," Alright, this will hurt you as the collar will take control of your body, and it connects to your spinal cord."
The metal collar was locked onto place as I felt all my nerves racing; I hissed in pain as I tried to fight the collar to control my body. Using all my willpower, I could feel my strength waning as I left out a yelp of pain as a pounding headache took place. Tears began to stream from my face as the pain tripled. Finally, I collapsed on the ground in pain after trying to fight for some time.
The Commander spoke," Get up."
I felt my body move on its own as he called to the wind dragon," Pick him up, for all his power, he is still young, head towards the base."
I felt the Wind Dragon use its giant claws, lift me off the ground, and head to the west. Then, feeling my energy fading, I shut my eyes and gave into my exhaustion.
