The energy was familiar as my eyes widened," Allit, what is this energy?"
Slyrak replied, voice tinged with fear," We need to get everyone out now!"
Breathing out, I clenched my teeth," This will drain me immensely. Krodi, get my fellow hatchlings out quickly; Graveonth, Xisu, go with her."
I closed my eyes and felt for everyone's mind as I asked Slyrak," What is going on with my sister?!"
Slyrak replied," She is entering equilibrium."
My eyes widened in fear," Just how destructive are wyverns and dragons when first entering equilibrium?"
Slyrak responded," Very dangerous since they are not in control."
Breathing out, I closed my mind as I felt the ground beginning to quake. I also felt Allit's mind for a brief moment,' They are blocking me from my little b-.'
That is when I felt her mind shut down as I gritted my teeth, prepared to make my message to every single soul in the haven," EVERYONE PLEASE GET OUT OF THE MOUNTAIN; a WYVERN HAS JUST REACHED EQUIPOLLENCE! YOU ARE ALL IN DANGER! GO NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!"
I panted heavily from the strain of my mental power as I nearly collapsed; Slyrak caught me as we felt the earth shake further. Then, gritting my teeth, I righted myself," I have to stop my sister. Slyrak, I don't want you in harm's way; get out of here; at this point, I may be the only one that can defeat her."
Breathing out as parts of the haven began to crumble, I felt immense amounts of violent winds raging below, destroying everything in its path. Using spirit fire, I teleported below, where I sensed most equipollence destroying our home. Knowing it was my sister, I knew I had to push my powers to the limit to keep everyone still escaping the haven and drain my sister as much as possible. Keeping my mind open in case I felt her consciousness return.
The moment I appeared, powerful winds assaulted me, much stronger than the hurricane I was caught in just over a year and a half ago. Using my void wind, I tried to absorb the wind from Allit's equipollence form. To my dismay, it just strengthened.
Narrowing my eyes, I gritted my teeth, feeling the sharp winds cutting into me,' So this is the power of an equipollence awakening, big sister; what caused you to push yourself to this level of power.'
Using my powers of light, I created a barrier around me, blocking the wind from hitting me. With each passing moment, though, I felt my barrier weakening rapidly.
Growling, I reminisced, 'How do I defeat her?!'
My barrier shattered as I was caught by the winds and flung around as I yelped in fright. Nearly avoiding rubble from the collapsing mountain, I gripped onto a surviving ledge, barely avoiding a piece of rock moving with enough speed to puncture a metal wall. I dig my claws into the rock below me to avoid being ripped away again.
I felt my blood drip onto the ground below me from the wind cuts. The wind from my sisters' equipollence kept tugging on me as I summoned all my power over light and wind to encase the raw power. Using my void wind to make the first layer, I immediately felt Allit fighting against the void wind as I managed to wrap the second layer of light around the first before it shattered.
Something caught my attention when the entire room began to glow; startled, I realized it was coming from me, feeling a massive boost in power—grimacing, I found it even easier to hold back the power of an equipollence.
Gritting my teeth as Allit broke free from my barrier that exploded, sending me through a collapsing wall.
Calling deeper into myself, I muttered three spells," Enhance power, enhance mental fortitude, and enhance agility."
Shooting forward, I intercepted the wind storm; again, I was cut to ribbons by the sharp winds. Wincing in pain from the gashes, I trapped Allit's equipollence form and myself in a much stronger barrier thanks to the spell. The wind howled as I yelled," Allit, please control yourself!"
Nothing happened as I reached inside me for that power gripping onto the power. Instead, the same blinding light flared around me. To my amazement, the barrier changed to a fiery blue color with burning energy surrounding it—I breathed out as the winds continued to whip into me, cutting me on the neck and my legs—using ropes of light to connect me to the ground.
Time felt at a standstill as I held the raw power of my sister's equipollence off from destroying our home. I could feel that my magic spells were wearing off. The adrenaline in my system was beginning to wane, now feeling the multiple gashes on my form when the power of Allit's equipollence fluctuated. Slowly, it died down as she appeared in the flesh unconscious. Dropping the barrier, I took notice of her changes. Her scales were perfect, her talons perfectly shaped, her body was slimmer, and She was more aerodynamic; all in all, she looked a bit too perfect, and I knew she would be annoyed with all her changes.
I collapsed as I panted from the energy drain and messaged Slyrak mentally," It's safe; my sister is unconscious; I am now officially drained, even more so from fighting Unla."
Getting a reply instantly," Alright, I will ask Elder Storm to help out. How powerful would you say is her equilibrium?'
I snorted back a reply," Easily on par with your mothers, if not stronger also, thanks 'cause I need to heal; my body has maybe forty bloody gashes on my neck, legs, underbelly, and back."
I could feel his amusement," Ouch, well, have fun with that."
Snorting, I felt a familiar searing pain as the entire room glowed with an intense bluish-white light. I felt the same feeling when my second pair of wings moved in. The pain increased as it stopped. I glanced over my shoulder to see another pair of wings just behind the last.
Groaning, I mumbled out loud," Great more power."
I was now officially drained; shutting my eyes, I fell asleep.
My mother's voice came behind me," Hello again, my sunshine."
Confused, I spun around," Mother, why are you in my head? I am not complaining; I thought you said the spell wore off the first time we met in my head."
To my embarrassment, she walked over to me and wrapped three pairs of wings around me that I hadn't noticed last time. I was snuggling against her, even if it was in my head.
My mother said," Xyverinos, look at me momentarily."
Looking up at her as she smiled, she said," I am impressed; you held down a relatively powerful wyvern of equilibrium that just awakened. Not only that, you reached Seraphim rank."
Confused, I queried," What is the difference between the ranks?"
She chuckled," I was wondering when you would ask that. The ranks mean how much power you have. A regular two-winged Angelic Wyvern at full power and, ability-wise, is only on par with a weak equilibrium. An Archangel class is on par with medium-strength equilibriums and weaker dragon hunters. Unless, of course, you are my son and were able to handle a high-ranked dragon hunter. Now, a Seraphim-ranked angelic wyvern or dragon can obliterate an entire side of the continent and hold their own against high-ranked Fallen Demonic Wyverns. Fallen Demonic Wyverns are the ruling class of the demonic wyverns. Same with the Seraphim-ranked angelic wyverns. Do you understand all of this?"
I nodded as I asked another question," Mother, just curious, who is Lord Unnin?"
My mother growled," How do you know that name?"
I replied," I heard it from the hatchling caretaker. Why, who is he?"
My mother sighed," that is the strongest Fallen class Demonic wyvern to have ever been known."
My eyes widened in shock as I gulped while my mother sighed," If he is still alive, you have your work cut out for you."
Shivering in fear, she smiled," Don't worry, I am going to tell you about the different powers a demonic wyvern has."
Nodding in understanding her question, I acknowledged her," Alright, but can I assume it deals with earth, water, shadows, and darkness?"
She smirked," Very insightful; yes, they are the exact opposites of us, Yin and Yang."
Sighing in relief," I can assume that his weaknesses deal with spirit fire and light."
My mother acknowledged my statement," Yes, that is correct. I am sorry to cut this short, Xyverinos, but I am fading again."
I protested," Wait, Mother, I have one last question!"
She looked at me as I continued," How powerful are the equilibriums of our two species?"
She sighed," To keep it short, as I do not have time to speak much longer, they would have enough power to obliterate the entire continent."
My eyes widened in fear," How strong are you just awakened?"
She smirked," That is something you have to find out if you ever reach that level."
I watched as she faded away. I was shaking my head as I forced myself to wake up.
Upon opening my eyes, I groaned as Xisu cheered," Xyv, you awake!"
Graveonth laughed," Welcome back, Xyv."
I mumbled," GO snort a pile of pepper and be quiet."
Slyrak snickered," I wanted to hear the insults your sister told us about."
Now wide awake, I asked," Allit's awake?"
Slyrak grinned," Yeah, now go say hi!"
Sensing where her mind was, I teleported in a flash of flames as she jumped, startled as I tackled her," Big sister!"
She laughed," Hello, little brother."
Her voice was calm and airy as she hugged me," Wait, why do you have three sets of wings?"
I shrugged," In short, I am now the highest-ranked Angelic Wyvern."
She sighed," Only you, little brother, only you can pull that off."
