Chapter 167 - Chapter 164 : Separation Failed!!

After a moment, Nobunaga smiled and deactivated his "Cutting Everything Within the Circle" ability, causing the "Defense Shield" to disappear immediately.

He rested the back of his sword on his shoulder and slowly stepped aside, making way for Uvogin, who had already gathered all his aura.

Nobunaga did this partly because Uvogin was ready and also because he didn't want his "Cutting Everything Within the Circle" ability to weaken the impact of Uvogin's attack.

Lastly, Uvogin's upcoming attack had a wide range, so Nobunaga needed to give him enough space; otherwise, he'd get caught in it too.

Germain snapped his fingers at Kurapika, signaling him with hand gestures.

Kurapika nodded, understanding the instructions.

Uvogin glared at Germain intensely and shouted, emphasizing each word.

"Big Bang Impact!"

Golden energy surged around his right fist. He swung his arm as if he were throwing a shot put with all his strength, and unleashed the punch!

**Boom—**

The punch's force exploded violently, sweeping across the area like a hurricane, tearing through everything in its path!

The wall on the other side of the compartment was shattered by the shockwave, almost like a cannonball!

However, the power of the "Big Bang Impact" wasn't done yet. It blasted through several compartment walls in a row before finally crashing into a regular passenger compartment.

The wave of destruction was so loud that it even drowned out the sounds of explosions coming from the back of the train. Its sheer force instantly wiped out most of the people in the two carriages.

They didn't even have time to scream.

Blood sprayed out of the train as it continued to rumble forward, and some of it splattered onto Kurapika's face like raindrops.

He wiped the blood off his face, his expression dark and grim.

Just before the "Big Bang Impact" reached him, Kurapika had jumped out of the window, landing outside the train with a cliff dropping straight down beside him.

But before he could fall onto the tracks, he tossed out his "Chain."

It latched onto a part of the damaged rear carriage, making him dangle outside the train for a moment like a kite.

Then, he pulled hard, swinging himself in a wide arc through the air, landing firmly on the top of the carriage, above the train.

Germain stood on the roof, his black robe fluttering in the wind, as if he had been there all along.

Kurapika was sure he could see his teacher on the roof and believed Germain could dodge the recent attack.

The two men faced Uvogin and Nobunaga, who were still in the damaged train compartment.

Between them lay two carriages, destroyed like those hit by artillery. Most were empty, with only flesh and blood scattered by the wind across the mountains.

"Teacher." Even though Kurapika was a "Nen apprentice," he could sense the danger posed by Uvogin and Nobunaga's teamwork.

"What should we do?"

"Run," Germain said without hesitation, "or we can fight."

Kurapika was surprised but soon understood his teacher's meaning.

Germain continued, "To be clear, Uvogin and Nobunaga work well together in positional warfare. If they keep that formation, it will be hard for us."

"But to chase us, they'll have to leave their comfortable formation. There will be times when they can't keep it together."

Kurapika's eyes lit up as he understood. "I get it, teacher."

Then, the master and apprentice turned and ran along the train's roof toward the rear.

"Trying to escape?!" Uvogin shouted in disbelief as he charged forward.

He stepped on the rotting flesh that had turned to mush and jumped onto the top of the train with a loud thud.

"Germain! Don't run!"

"Hey, Uvogin!"

Nobunaga wanted to call out to Uvogin, but Uvogin ignored him and chased after him on the roof of the train.

"Tsk."

Feeling helpless, Nobunaga glanced back and saw Chrollo and Hisoka heading toward the locomotive.

Illumi and Saiyu were still facing each other in the next carriage, and they didn't seem eager to start a fight.

As much as he wanted to help Chrollo, he knew Uvogin needed him more.

If he hadn't been there, Uvogin would likely have fallen into Germain's trap.

In an instant, Nobunaga made a decision and ran to the back of the car.

However, he didn't jump onto the roof of the train. Instead, he moved quickly through the carriage in his wooden clogs, his speed like lightning. Whenever he encountered an obstacle, he cut through it with his blade.

Germain and Kurapika were running on top of the train.

Uvogin was closely behind them, constantly taunting them.

But Uvogin didn't have much education, and his insults were pretty basic, like cursing their mothers or calling them cowards—nothing that could really shake them.

He had heard from Mafia about Germain and Kurapika robbing the "Scarlet Eyes," but he never imagined there were survivors from the Kurta clan.

If Uvogin had used his "Scarlet Eyes" to provoke Kurapika, Kurapika would probably have lost his cool.

When something like genocide is mentioned, you can't just say, "stay calm" to ease the tension.

Kurapika glanced back and said, "Teacher, he's the only one chasing us. Should we turn around and fight him?"

"Not yet. You need to use Gyo and make accurate judgment," said Germain.

"Nobunaga is in the carriage below. Even though he used 'Zetsu,' I still noticed him because he was running at high speed."

"From what I can see, his slashing range is about four meters, and Uvogin is still within that range."

"He'll wait for me to attack Uvogin and strike from below. Don't underestimate Uvogin; he acts careless on purpose to lure me into attacking him."

"People who don't know Uvogin might think he's reckless, but he's actually very clever and not easy to handle."

Kurapika frowned again.

Then Germain said, "But since they're fighting like this, it shows they look down on you."

"They probably think you aren't much of a threat, and that I'm the most dangerous. They believe that if they get rid of me, they can do whatever they want with you afterward."

"However, that's true. You've only been learning Nen for a few months."

Kurapika lowered his eyelashes, feeling uneasy, as if he wanted to close his eyes.

"But," Germain changed the topic, "even weak people have their own fighting styles. You can use their psychology to your advantage."

"Kurapika, you need to stay low-key, act like Uvogin and Nobunaga's guesses, and observe patiently."

"In my fight with them, I'll look for that brief, possibly once-in-a-lifetime chance to make them slip up and pay for it."

"That's your role in this fight."
