Chapter 72 - Chapter 73 : Hisoka and Germain!!!

Germain shook his head. "This is a rough plan. What if you lose to Chrollo?"

Hisoka declared confidently, "How could I lose? As long as you successfully lead his followers away, I will definitely be the final winner."

"Confidence is good, but arrogance is not necessarily," Germain said.

If Chrollo and Hisoka fought now, it would indeed be difficult to determine a winner. Chrollo is the type who acts only when fully prepared.

In the original timeline, Chrollo managed to kill Hisoka because he "stole" a set of Nen abilities and took advantage of Hisoka's willingness to risk himself, winning almost unscathed.

However, this also brought out a more terrifying Hisoka, a product of chaotic evil.

Hisoka smiled and said, "Don't worry about what happens between me and Chrollo. The question is, do you want to join this plan or not?"

Germain thought for a while and replied, "What practical benefit does this bring to me? I can't become the new leader because of this."

Of course, he didn't want to become the leader of the Phantom Troupe.

Unexpectedly, Hisoka laughed cunningly and pointed out the key point: "You don't want to become the leader of the Phantom Troupe at all. You want to get rid of the Phantom Troupe completely. You want it to disappear, right?"

Germain remained silent.

"I'm the only one among them who has fought with you. From your combat habits, I know exactly what kind of person you are. You would never covet that kind of position."

"You don't care about power, nor do you care about killing. The pleasure you really pursue comes from something else that I don't know yet."

"If they had fought with you once, they would probably feel the same way."

"They don't understand you. You don't want to seize power, but to become a traitor to the Phantom Troupe."

"And you know very well that Chrollo may not care whether you quit or not, but Feitan, Uvogin, Phinks, and others will never let you, a double traitor to Meteor City and the Phantom Troupe, go."

"They will hunt you down."

"When they attack, you must fight back with the intent to kill. If you kill one of them, even Chrollo can't stop the Phantom Troupe from seeking revenge."

"So, you need to eliminate the Phantom Troupe before they come after you relentlessly."

"However, Chrollo must die for the Phantom Troupe to be destroyed."

Hisoka explained, drawing him into his plan.

"Besides, the combat group must be completely wiped out. There's no other way."

The combat group includes Nobunaga, Feitan, Shalnark, Franklin, Phinks, and Uvogin.

The auxiliary group, consisting of Machi, Pakunoda, and Kortopi, is different. This doesn't mean they can't fight, though.

Hisoka continued, "Alone, you can only stall them. But with me, things change."

"You just need to distract the audience while I perform some magic. With the Phantom Troupe leaderless, we can take them down one by one."

"What if they choose a new leader after Chrollo?" Germain asked.

"That won't happen," Hisoka smiled. "Chrollo's role is more crucial than they realize."

"If he dies, Nobunaga will likely become the new leader. Even if it's not Uvogin, can you imagine any of the other members leading?"

"You help me, and I'll help you break free. Then we'll both get what we want."

"It's too risky for just the two of us," Germain hesitated. "There are too many variables, and we might get caught in their web."

Hisoka hummed, "That's why I asked you to meet with me to discuss the details. Come on, Germain, there's no better 'partner' than me."

This time, Germain didn't hesitate for long. The issue with the Phantom Troupe needed to be resolved sooner or later, and it couldn't be dragged out forever.

So, he decided to listen to Hisoka, the "Pervert" and the future "Troupe Killer."

Even if it's a bit reckless, there's always a way to be reckless effectively.

Speaking of which, the future records of Hisoka and Kurapika against the current members of the Phantom Troupe are tied at two to two.

Hisoka killed both Shalnark and Kortopi, who had lent their abilities to Chrollo. Kurapika killed Uvogin and planted the "Judgment Chain" in Pakunoda's heart, leading her to ultimately commit suicide.

If Germain could somehow bring about a decisive battle between Hisoka and Chrollo earlier, who knows what impact it might have on the future.

On March 11th, Germain took an airship to the eastern part of the continent, where the Republic of Batocchia is located.

He found the Alice Café, where he had agreed to meet Hisoka. While waiting inside, many women approached him to chat. With no other option, he moved to a seat under the parasols outside.

Germain pulled up his mask to cover the lower half of his face and pressed down his black triangular hat. He put on headphones and listened to music on his phone, giving off the vibe of someone who didn't want to be disturbed.

This time, no one approached him.

Germain was listening to "Requiem in D Minor, K.626: VIII. Lacrimosa" by Mozart. Its unique beauty is unforgettable after just one listen.

From his seat, Germain could see the towering Heaven's Arena, nearly a thousand meters high. This place was a paradise for fighters, hosting either bloody and violent or amazing battles every day.

Countless people came here, placed their bets, and tried to change their lives.

Though Germain could make a lot of money here with his strength, he wasn't very interested in the Heavens Arena. As long as he didn't face the top fighters, it was like playing catch for him.

He usually didn't fight much weaker opponents unless they were asking for it.

However, Hisoka loved this place. He had arranged to meet Germain at Alice Café, which had a view of the Heavens Arena. Maybe this was a hint from Hisoka.

The agreed time had passed, but Hisoka still hadn't shown up. Germain put his pocket watch back into his black hunter's robe. It wasn't surprising; Hisoka was often late.

As he put the pocket watch away, a small, fast-moving object entered the range of his "En," which had expanded to a radius of eleven meters.

Germain raised his hand and caught it firmly! It was still shaking and spinning, but Germain cut off the "aura" surrounding it, and it finally stopped.

He took off his headphones and looked at the metal gyroscope lying in his palm. Then he looked in the direction of the attack.

Three people stood there in a careful formation, all of them familiar faces to Germain - familiar because he had seen them before, but they had never seen him.
