Chapter 295 - Overpowered

Cedric exclaimed aloud, "With the developer system, I rise and rule the world!"

Unlike some transmigrators who plan on finding their way back, Cedric had always dreamed of being able to use magic, even when he was on the blue planet. Sure, he had a good family, many friends, and a beautiful girlfriend, but he could also have them here. He could create a big family, find many friends, and even get 100 beautiful girlfriends. After all, power and money are the most important factors in most relationships; as long as one has those, finding love interests would be easy.

It could be said that he had some severe mental problems, perhaps a crazy genius who was good at acting. He could finally stop acting and show his real self.

"Let me see; what should I code next?" he thought. At the moment, the most important thing for him was survivability; his body was very fragile, and he could die with a simple strike of a sword.

"I don't know how to add HP or MP to myself, nor about my skills or level. The best thing for me is godly armor, a necklace, a ring, and other equipment," he thought.

His game was mostly P2W, meaning it was easy to be overpowered as long as one paid enough money. Even level-one players could buy godly armor and equip it. That was why he was able to make so much money in a short time.

He started coding, and an ordinary-looking armor appeared in front of him after a few minutes. Even though it was ordinary-looking, it shone with a dark light.

"I wish I had time to upload the new update!" he thought. His most recent update was about new looks for some divine items, making them far more impressive-looking than other lower-grade items. Unfortunately for him, he didn't have time to upload it, so he is now stuck with these unimpressive pieces of equipment.

This armor is called Dragonblood Armor, the most powerful armor in the whole game. It was costly; if someone wanted to get it, they either had to play for months to have a slight chance or pay 5k. Only two people got it for the entire duration of the game, and both bought it with real money. At that time, old players became furious, calling him greedy. After all, they worked for months to get it, but someone paid and immediately got it.

But Cedric thought it was ridiculous. Those P2W players were the ones who kept the servers running, so old players should be thankful to them instead of being so angry. What did they expect? The world is unfair, and so are online games.

The armor added 1,000,000 points to passive defense, 75% to evasion, 90% to passive armor, and 10 absolute defenses/minute. Players who bought it became nearly invincible, basically able to tank anything.

But, for his current situation, just this one piece of armor was far from enough. His body was so fragile that if an attack exceeded 1,000,000, managed to get past 75% evasion, reduced by 90% of armor, even then, it would still be enough to kill him. After all, level 1 players, his most likely level now, have only 1,000 HP.

He was trying to code but heard noises from far away. They were soldiers running to the tower, which he had cut a hole in earlier.

"Damn! Can you all shut up?" he cursed. He was the type of person who got annoyed by too much noise. Gritting his teeth, it took him a while longer to code, but finally, he finished it.

The soldiers just ran to the tower and ignored him. After all, in their eyes, he was just a homeless man. The homeless were allowed to sleep in the streets but not to set up tents in this part of the city. As the nights were cold, nearly no one dared to spend the night here. They were mostly on the south side of the city, where they were allowed to set up tents to stay warm.

With a dark light, a ring appeared; it was called the Ring of Life. Like the Dragonblood Armor, this ring was extremely hard to obtain by free-to-play people, basically only accessible to P2W players.

It was worth 2.5k.

But it wasn't the most powerful ring in the game; there were more expensive rings. For his current situation, however, this ring was the best.

The Ring of Life added 1 billion points to his HP; that was its only function. With the Ring of Life, even if some damage could get past the armor, it would not kill him.

Next, he coded a few other pieces of equipment:

The Necklace of the Goddess of Life, the best passive healing equipment in the game. The Helmet of the Soul King, which immunized him from all attacks on the soul. The Tiny Elf Shield, which made him immortal, completely stopped his aging process. The Hero's Cap was unsuitable for fighting but allowed him to fly limitlessly at a very fast speed. The Steadyhand Gloves, which added 100,000 to all of his stats passively. The Space Boots, which granted him the ability to teleport.

With these pieces of equipment, he felt much safer. Honestly, he doubted anyone could hurt him in this state.

But his power was only there because of his equipment. If someone stole them, he would lose his power. So, he also coded one more ordinary but extremely useful item in this situation, called 'Ordinary Disguise: Farm Girl'.

He put it on, and immediately, his looks changed; he looked like an ordinary-looking girl in ordinary clothes.

He was taking advantage of one of the bugs he planned to fix. Usually, it's impossible to hide equipment, but this item had a bug. Whoever wore this disguise would retain all their pieces of equipment and their effects, but they would not be visible or stealable. As for his gender change, he wasn't worried; it was only a mask, and he would remove it once he found a way to increase his personal strength.

Looking at his fingers, he ensured the bug worked before sighing in relief.

"Now, I can finally enjoy my new OP life!" he thought.

Master Jobs was the leader of Greenbay City; he was a cultivator of the Divine Soul Realm.

Assigning a Divine Soul cultivator to protect a mortal city was unheard of, but this wasn't just any mortal city. It was the city where an ancestor of the Crown Sect was born. The city was kept in its original state because the sect leader didn't want his birthplace to change. There was a powerful defensive formation, along with him, a cultivator of the Divine Soul Realm, to guard and protect it.

Usually, he just sat in the meditation room and cultivated. A few moments ago, however, they reported something weird to him.

"The tower?" Master Jobs frowned; the city was perfectly protected, so how could the tower fall for no reason?

"The sect master doesn't want the city to be damaged! I thought this assignment would be easy, but who could have thought," he sighed. If the sect master found out about the tower, he would surely scold him. But those are matters for later; now, he has to find out why the tower fell.

He spread his divine sense and frowned after a few seconds.

"A mortal… flying?" he looked at the sky.

"I am Superman!" a girl was flying in the sky slowly; it was Cedric. He wouldn't have dared to fly yesterday, but he is no longer afraid of anyone today. With his equipment, he doubted there was anyone who could rival him.

Just as he was flying, someone looked at him from a distance.

"It's no mistake! She is a mortal!" the observer became diligent. A mortal flying without a care in the world was an extremely bizarre scene; it was really not even possible. He guessed that she was actually a powerful cultivator who had hidden her cultivation level, but how did she just appear in the defensive formation? This part alarmed him the most; this formation could even resist Substance Soul Realm cultivators.

"Could it be that she is a Multiple Soul Realm cultivator?" He shook his head but couldn't find any other explanation. Clearing his throat, he went forward.

"Senior, please wait!" Cedric heard someone say.

"Hmm! Someone saw me!" he looked and saw a man flying like himself.

"This man knows how to fly! A mage, or what they call it, a cultivator?" he thought.

"Senior, can I ask who you are?" the cultivator asked with a questioning look.

"Call me Cedric. Hey, now it's my turn! Who are you, and where is this place?" Cedric asked.

Master Jobs' eyes almost widened, but he resisted and maintained his neutral face. Still, in his mind, he was intensely thinking.

"She doesn't know where she is! This is very strange! My sixth sense is screaming danger; I should be cautious!" he thought.

"Senior, I am Jobs, a member of the Crown Sect. Crown Sect belongs to the South Apple Continent's royal family but is independent from it. This city is called the Holy City of Greenbay, the birthplace of Daoist Green," said Master Jobs.

"Ok, now explain the power system around here," Cedric nodded and asked again.

"By power system, you mean?" Master Jobs became confused again.

"What is your level?" asked Cedric.

"By level, you mean the realm of cultivation? If so, I am Divine Soul Realm, the 4th level," said Master Jobs, even more confused. It was unimaginable to him that the girl before him didn't know power levels.

"How powerful are Divine Soul cultivators?" asked Cedric.

Scratching his head, Master Jobs said, "We can destroy a mortal country quite easily."

"What? So powerful? Are you max level?" asked Cedric.

After all these questions, Master Jobs concluded something: "The girl in front of me is not strong!"

So, he smiled and cast a spell: "Freeze!"
