Chapter 6 - Stormy Hearts

In Shreveport, Louisiana it was dark and stormy, the rain drizzled and it was cloudy in the sky. Seated right under the raindrops in the middle of the drizzling rain on a purple Lexus car was Rashad Morey smoking his blunt and blowing the smoke rings up into the sky. He was getting high on his weed, and was in a foul mood.

While Rashad was seated hitting his high blunt and enjoying the moment, his busty girlfriend with red hair and a snake image tattoo on her left arm came out, she walked over to him, with her was a lighter on her right hand, so she lit up Rashad's smoke.

Rashad hit the smoke and blew again to the sky then he coughed "Yo bitch What do you want?" he asked Kelly his girlfriend disrespectfully.

"What do you mean? What do I want" she replied, with an expression on her face that shows she didn't understand Rashad's question.

"I don't need your help bitch," Rashad said. "Now, please!!! get out of my sight."

The woman sighed and walked back to the sidewalk. She stood there for a moment, watching the rain. Then she turned and walked away.

Rashad watched her wiggle her round waist and he stared at how her butt was clapping as she walked, he shook his head then he placed his tobacco weed cigarettes in his mouth and blew the smoke again to the cloud showing how unbothered he was.

Kelly walked into Josh lounge club the very same club Rashad was sitting right in front of on his purple Lexus car.

Not quite long after Kelly had gone into the club, bottle sounds started in the club from the back of the club. Kelly was still in the club as the doors were shot after anyone enters the door gets shut.

Rashad was still seated in his purple Lexus right in front of the club. He heard the bottle sounds and knew that there was a fight going on. He also knew that Kelly, his girlfriend, was in there because he watched her walk in there.

But he didn't care. He just kept hitting his blunt and blowing the smoke into the clouds.

Kelly was shaking and getting scared for her damn life hoping that she makes it out alive.

As soon as Rashad finished hitting his blunt, he hopped down from his car and stepped into it attempting to drive off. But he was stopped when the whole clubbers from Josh lounge club burst out, splitting to different units running for their lives.

It was then Kelly signaled to Rashad to let her in. Rashad stopped the car to let Kelly come in. But he still didn't ask her how she was feeling. He acted like he didn't care because he truly didn't care.

After a 20-minute drive home, they finally got home. Rashad came down first and still didn't talk to Kelly nor ask her, his girlfriend, how she was feeling.

He just went in and straight right up he wasn't to his living room, where he was focused on the video game he started playing.

Kelly had to respectfully go upstairs to her room. Then she started crying. She couldn't believe that Rashad would be so mean to her after seeing what she just went through at the club through the traumatic experience.

Kelly started feeling disgusted, she felt like she could get out of the relationship immediately, but she didn't know how.

She cried for a long time, then she finally fell asleep.

The next morning, Rashad woke up and went to the kitchen to make breakfast. Kelly was still in her room, and he didn't bother to check on her. He just made his breakfast and ate it alone.

After breakfast, Rashad went into the living room to play video games again. Kelly finally came out of her room, and she saw Rashad sitting there, playing video games. She walked over to him and said, "Rashad, we need to talk."

Rashad looked up at her and said, "What is it?"

Kelly took a deep breath and said, "What I'm I doing wrong? Please tell me."

Rashad frowned. He didn't like the words that were coming out of Kelly's mouth. So he asked "What do you mean?"

Kelly bowed her head and tears began streaming from her eyes, "I mean, you don't care about me. You don't even ask me how I'm feeling. You just ignore me."

Rashad sighed. "Yo, I'm not here to do the pity talk with you. What do you mean, what are you doing wrong? Do you think if you're doing something wrong, I wouldn't have dealt with you personally? Just get the fuck out of my face."

Kelly was hurt by Rashad's words. She didn't know what she had done to deserve such ill treatment from him. She just turned and walked away, feeling demeaned.

Rashad didn't even notice that she had left. He was too busy playing his video games.

A few minutes later, Rashad's phone rang. It was one of his biggest connections from New York. He ordered for more supplies, which guaranteed more money. Rashad's mood brightened, but he still didn't share his happy mood with Kelly.

Still being an ass, Rashad was about to leave the house without telling Kelly but she saw him going to his car in haste, about to drive out.

She called out to him, "Honey, do you mind if I make you dinner and keep it for you when you return?"

Rashad stopped and looked at her face. He saw the concern and love in her eyes, but he didn't feel anything. He just looked away without responding a word to her.

Kelly's heart sank. She was making Rashad so upset with her, she didn't understand what the problem was. She had tried to talk to him about it, but he wouldn't listen.

She watched him get into his car and drove away then she went inside and started cooking dinner. She prepared Rashad's favorite meal, hoping that when he returns the food would make him feel better.
