Chereads / REUNITED WITH MY ALPHA / Chapter 9 - CHAPTER 9

Chapter 9 - CHAPTER 9

Cammy stared at the little boy that stood in front of her door with a raised eyebrow. She had to admit that he was cute and to her horror she didn't understand how it was that she had been so drawn towards him the first time.

"So can i come in." he asked her when she let out a sigh from her lips as she thought over his words for a moment. She wasn't entirely sure if she should do this. She had allowed herself over and over again that she didn't want anything to do with River and his people.

This was the last thing that she wanted to do at this moment. It frustrated her to no end and she couldn't help but grit her teeth at the very thought. But she had come to realize that it wasn't the child's fault and she shouldn't have blamed him for what had happened. It wasn't him who had caused all of this and she couldn't blame him for that.

"Fine, you can come in. Where is Sam ''. She asked him. She watched as he shrugged his shoulders at her in response. "He doesn't know that I am here. I ran away again". He said to her with a cheeky smile.

She groaned as she strained her neck. This was a big mess and the last thing that she needed was for her to be even more involved in it. She didn't want to be in any more trouble. "Well I still have to call him. So that he cAn come and pick you up. But for now you can sit down on the couch." She said to him as she gestured towards the chair that was in the middle of the room.

He gave her a small smile before he helped himself onto the chair. She couldn't help but smile at the thought and she had to admit that it did warm her heart to see the sight in front of her.

She shook her head slightly as she tried to clear the thoughts of the image. "Well then. How about you tell me why you keep coming back to see me." She said to him as she pulled open her fridge and she started to pull things out of it. She had to admit that she was flattered that he had taken an interest in her but iy was something that she still found somewhat uncomfortable.

"I-i i don't know". He Said to her shakily as she came over and she handed him a glass of what appeared to be juice.

He seemed to be shaky but she only smiled at him for a moment as she nodded her head at him and gestured for him to take another sip of the drink.

"Don't worry. I am not going to freak out on you again. I am sorry about scaring you the other time. It was much unlike me and that isn't how i am normally." She said to him and she didn't understand why she was giving such explanations to a literal child.

"I understand but now I need your help." He said to her and she furrowed her eyebrows at him. She couldn't help but wonder how exactly she would help him. What was it that he would need her help for.

"What is it?" She asked him . She watched as he shrugged his shoulders at her in response. "I want you to help me find my mother". He said to her firmly.

She looked towards him in confusion not understanding what he meant. "Your mother is Alice. Is she not the Luna of the pack." She said to him as she tried to control her anger. She didn't want to hurt him but his words ticked something inside of her off.

She didn't want to reopen the closed wounds but here he was trying to make her worse than she already felt. It angered her to no end and although she wasn't planning to lash out on him, she couldn't help But wonder if this was River's doing. He had been intent on hurting her and maybe this was another one of his tactics.

"The luna. We don't have a luna". He said to her, pulling her out of her thoughts. She looked towards him with a raised eyebrow as she wondered if he was being serious.

He clearly couldn't have been as she looked him over for a moment and she chuckled briefly as she scoffed.

"Of Course you have a luna. Is your father the one who sent you here? Is this his idea of a way to punish me? Is that What he is trying to do". She yelled. She watched as fear passed through his eyes as he whispered lightly.

She couldn't help but feel a sense of frustration come over her as she ran a hand through

Her hair. "I don't understand what you are trying to do but I can't help you find your mother. You should ask your father. It was a mistake asking you to come inside and i think you should leave.``

She said to him in a stern tone. She had thought that she would be strong enough to handle things but she wasn't.

She picked up her phone to call Sam and she waited for him to get there as she kept a safe distance from Jackson. The last thing that she wanted was to make him cry any more. She knew that it was cruel Of her to yell at him but he had set her off.

She was beyond relieved when she heard the sound of a swift knock on her door. She turned towards the child one last time and she watched as he widened his eyes at her in fear as he looked towards the door one last time before he shook his head.

"You have to go. I am sorry. I don't know who your mother is. I can't help you find her. You have to speak to your father. Now come on, your uncle Sam will take you home". She said to him with a tight lipped smile before Leading him towards the

Door as she pulled it open.

She found Sam standing on the other side as she watched him widen His eyes at the sight of them. "You should keep a closer eye on him. Children are precious and the last thing that Any parent would want to lose their child". She said to him as she zeroed her eyes on him. She watched as he looked her over for a moment before he slowly nodded his head at her.

She watched as they made their way slowly out of her apartment building and it was only when they were well out of her sight that she allowed herself to break down fully.

She couldn't do this anymore. She couldn't handle seeing that boy every day and reminding her of what she had lost. She couldn't do this.

She made her way towards her room as she let

Out a sigh. She needed to get an escape as she packed up her bag. She knew that she had to go and see Rachel. She was the only person that would fully understand her and at this point she needed her more than anything.

She picked her phone up and called her and she listened to it as it rang. "I need to come home."
