Cammy was tense as she closed the door shut. She pressed her body against the closed door as she tried to control the tears that threatening to slide down her face.
She didn't know why he was doing this to her. Why he had chosen to continue to torture her in such a way. She didn't deserve to have to be constantly reminded of her loss.
She felt like a fool. She was relieved that today was Saturday because it meant that she would have the chance to rest tomorrow. She didn't think that she had what it took to get to work tomorrow.
The last thing she wanted or needed was to be stared down by the knowing faces of her colleagues. She sighed as she settled down on her couch. She pulled out the blanket that she kept in the drawer. It was the one thing that kept her stay calm in these moments.
She had told herself that she didn't want to cry anymore. That she wouldbt cry anymore. But here she was. She didn't move from the couch for a long time as she spent a lot of her time watching tv.
She decided to check her phone after a while. She decided to turn it on as she saw several notifications which tagged her on instagram. She had become quite popular especially after her interview.
She was determined to end the child trafficking rings which had caused quite a large amount of controversy. She didn't understand how someone could do that to small innocent children. It was the last thing they deserved and she didn't understand how anyone could be so cruel.
Her eyes fell on a private message that she had gotten as her blood ran cold. "Be careful. You don't know who might be watching you. There aren't always going to be people to protect you.`` The message read and she gulped when she saw a picture attached to it. It was a picture within her home of her laying down on the couch.
She shot up from her spot on the couch immediately as she felt Her heart beat rapidly against her chest. She felt a sense of paranoia come over her as she tried to check for cameras. She had been well aware of what she would be getting herself into when she had accepted the job but now she couldn't ignore the sense of fear that covered her at the thought of them being in her home.
She rushed to her feet as she made her way towards the door and she rushed to lock it. She didn't want to take any chances of having an intruder. She would have to change her locks in the morning and it meant that she would have to be more careful.
She decided that it was time for her to rest after her long day and she made her way up the stairs and decided to retire to her room. She relaxed into her sheets as she eventually allowed herself to drift off to sleep.
The next morning she was relieved when she woke up feeling much lighter. It was always good for her to have a nice sleep and she had hoped that by making it clear to him that River would understand that he had to leave her alone.
She was in the middle of enjoying her sandwich when she heard the sound of her doorbell being rang. She furrowed her eyebrows at the sound as she slowly stood up to her feet and made her way towards it before pulling it open.
She didn't see anything at first until she looked down and came face to face with jackson. She felt her anger flare but she felt a sudden sense of worry when she didm t see Sam with him.
"Did you come alone." She found herself asking and she watched as he nodded his head at her. "Sorry. I had to see you. Uncle Sam won't allow". He said to her in a mumble and she could tell that he was clearly nervous around her. She knew it was his fault that he was scared of her.
"So what are you doing here?" She found herself saying. "I want to see you." He said to her desperately. She shook her head at him as she let out a Sigh from her lips and lowered herself to his level.
"I am sorry for yesterday but you can't come here alone, it is dangerous. And you can't come back. I am not your mum and you don't know me. So it is time for you to go home. It is time for you to return to your dad. I am sure that he is very worried about you". She said to him.
She watched as he bit down on his lip and she could sense the tears that welled up in his eyes. She knew that her words hurt him but it was for the best. She couldn't take care of a child.
She watched as he walked away and she hoped that he would get back safe. She didn't want anything to happen to him on the way there.
She closed the door shut and she spent the rest of her day peacefully. When she returned to work the next day she was glad that everything was getting back to normal and Ricer was slowly slipping away from her mind.
But when she came back to her apartment she frowned to see Jackson there again and this time he had a bright smile on his face. She gave him a raised eyebrow before scolding him as she sent him away.
She had thought that one warning was enough but it seemed as though he wasn't getting the
Message. And he would come back every single day.
By the time that Friday rolled around she had gotten used to the sight of him by her door. She was just about done with Him and she had to admit that he had started growing in her. She placed her hands on her hips as she stared at him deeply.
"You aren't going anywhere are you?" She asked and she watched as he quickly shook his head at her. She slumped her shoulders, rolling her eyes as she pulled her door open.
"Well come in then." She muttered.
