"Yes, I do," Catherine said after some seconds of silence.
Once she said that, Jerry heaved a sigh of relief as the whole audience started cheering in joy.
"You may now kiss your bride," the priest said to Jerry.
Without hesitating, Jerry slowly pulled up the veil covering the beautiful face that he had always wished to see every morning when he woke up.
"I nearly got you, didn't I?" Catherine asked Jerry while grinning ear to ear.
"You are really something else," Jerry said to her.
With that, Jerry slowly lowered his leaps to hers, and they both kissed each other tenderly.
"I now declare both of you husband and wife before God and men," the priest said as the cheering of the whole congregation got louder and louder.
"Now let's proceed to the second couple," the priest announced.
