"Catherine, please tell me this is a joke." Mrs. Joyce begged Catherine with a terrified tone, but she remained indifferent while staring strangely at Mrs. Joyce.
"Mrs. Joyce, please calm down; you are not helping the issue at all," the doctor said to Catherine's mom, who was on the edge of breaking down in tears.
"Catherine," the doctor said.
"Is that my name?" Catherine chipped in immediately.
"Yes, that's your name, and she's your mother," the doctor said to Catherine while pointing at Mrs. Joyce, who couldn't withhold the tears that were already streaming down her face.
"And why can't I remember anything?" Catherine asked the doctor with a dejected tone.
"Maybe it's due to the shock you received from the explosion," the doctor said to Catherine, who widened her eyes in surprise.
