Eve Thompson's lips twitched as she turned her head and glared at Carlos Charlie.
Then, her gaze shifted back to Anthony Charlie.

But of course, her sister had been rescued and was lying in the hospital now, with someone else's child in her womb; Anthony looked like a man who had been abandoned.
As Eve thought about this, the relief she had just felt suddenly turned heavy again.
She slowly walked up to Anthony, saw the heaviness in his eyes, his hands stuffed in his pockets, and deliberately tilted her chin up to give herself a challenging look before speaking, "Hey, what are you doing here? Did my sister wake up?"
"She did."
Anthony spoke slowly.
Eve blinked then asked again, "Then, why didn't you go see her?"
Upon hearing this, Anthony couldn't help but drop his gaze and chuckled, "Reginald Bates is with her."
