Anthony Charlie didn't pick up anyone's calls these past few days.
So he didn't even bother with this one.
After ringing for a long time, the call reluctantly disconnected.
Anthony still leaned against the wall. After a while, the phone rang again.
But this time, it only rang once before automatically answering.
Immediately, a clear and familiar young voice came from the other side: "Mr. Charlie, hello."
The voice... it was Turtle.
Anthony didn't move, still leaning against the wall, but the subtle sound of his breathing gave away his presence.
The voice on the other side hesitated for a moment before suddenly laughing: "Mr. Charlie, I've lost a loved one these last few days."
Anthony still didn't speak.
The person on the other side seemed to just want to chat, so she began rambling: "At first, I thought the sky had collapsed, and I wished it were me who had died instead of my loved one... then, I stopped eating and drinking, wanting to follow her to the grave."
