The Technical Department on the eighth floor was generally off-limits to ordinary employees, but this situation was exceptional. Eve disregarded the protocol and dashed right up.

He was a bit scruffy, dressed casually, hunched over his desk with his long legs on it, clutching a cell phone with both hands, busily engaged in something. The sound of a video game could be vaguely heard.
Upon hearing footsteps, he slightly lifted his eyelids and took a glance at Eve and Anthony, then lowered them again. He said indifferently while continuing his game, "Who are you? No outsiders are allowed in the Technical Department."
His voice was surprisingly pleasant, but he appeared indifferent, as if he was aloof from all worldly concerns.
