Everyone wore a momentarily confused expression.
Those who hadn't seen their report cards were even asking, "Is today April Fool's Day?"
Michael Hyde couldn't hold back and blurted out, "Dude, what kind of joke are you playing?"
"Yeah, right. Iris Thompson, the usual bottom-scorer, is first?"
Oliver Charles's face stiffened as well.
His high marks in his major had always made him the top of the class, something he took pride in. This was the first time in four years that he had been overtaken.
But when he heard that the person who had nabbed first place was Iris Thompson, he laughed, "Okay, let's take a look at the report cards!"
They must be joking!
But those who had seen their report cards smirked and held them up saying, "We're not kidding, it's true!"
The classroom suddenly fell silent.
They again looked at the results in disbelief.
Iris Thompson's name was prominently displayed at the top, impossible to miss!
Now, everyone was speechless.
