He didn't speak, and Faith hastily asked, "Is there something wrong with Miss Thompson that she can't make it?"
The driver glanced at Anthony and reported his trip: "I went to the Thompson family first and found out that Miss Thompson wasn't at home. Mrs. Thompson said she went to school and would be back later. So I called Miss Thompson, and she said she wouldn't be coming tonight. She will contact Mr. Charlie directly."
