And now, the real Trenton Smith is cruel, indifferent, and cold-blooded.
Norris Moore had known long ago that the man she had fallen for might not be the real him, but the closer she got, the more she understood just how cold his heart was.
Hadn't he felt anything during those three years, how she had treated him...?!
She had already resigned herself to her fate, but at this moment, she couldn't help feeling wronged.
Trenton slowly raised his hand, pinching Norris's wrist, and with force, he took away the fruit knife from her hand when she was feeling weak.
Norris's palm had already been cut open and bleeding, staining the sheets red with blood.
Trenton threw the bloody fruit knife into the trash can, and then coldly said, "Norris Moore, do you really want to die?" She even tried to commit suicide in front of him with the knife, again and again.
Norris was slightly stunned, and then, she laughed.
She nodded, "Although it is said that being alive is better than being dead, if one life can save three lives, Norris thinks it's worth it."
Trenton turned around, lowered his eyes, and looked at the smile on her lips and the curve of her eyebrows. He glanced at her palm, which was still bleeding, and his gaze turned cold.
He, of course, knew just how much force Norris had used when she stabbed herself earlier. If he hadn't caught the knife in time, Norris would already be dead.
The wound would definitely be lethal, even a hospital wouldn't be able to save her.
There's no one in this world who could survive after severing their heart's artery.
With a slight curve of his lips, Trenton stepped forward, gently pinching her chin with his hand. His voice was gentle yet cold, "But how do you know that after you die, I will really let your whole family go?"
Norris's eyelashes trembled slightly, and a flash of emotion passed through her eyes. She pursed her lips and then whispered softly, "Mr. Smith is not a man who goes back on his word." Her voice was trembling slightly.
Trenton slowly smiled, his grin slightly sarcastic, as if mocking her naiveté. "Norris, do you remember what I said to you three years ago when we got married in the church?"
"......"
Norris's face gradually turned pale. She looked up at him, staring at the face she had loved for three whole years.
"I remember."
"So, don't be too clever for your own good, and don't play any tricks you think are smart."
He released her chin and said sarcastically before turning around and leaving the hospital room.
Norris lowered her head, raising her hand to press against her forehead. Her temples throbbed with pain, and light and sound rolled in her memory.
The church. The priest. Trenton in a suit. His gentle smile towards her.
[Trenton Smith loves Norris Moore for a lifetime]
This liar.

Norris bit her lip tightly, curling up on the bed.
Her heart hurt even more than her hand did at this moment.
Just how much did she love him, so much so that she remembered every word he'd ever said to her?
She hated her overly good memory, which in the end was nothing more than a self-humiliating game. The man played his part, while she believed too easily.
She was a hopeless fool, thinking that saving Zara White would make Trenton love her.
How could he possibly love her?
He would only hate her for using Zara's life to force him.
By the time she realized this, she had already been driven to ruin by Trenton.
So Norris Moore was truly the number one fool.
No wonder Trenton looked down on her.
