The first glimmer of dawn pierced through the window, slowly revealing Scarlet's sleeping form on the bed. She groaned and moved her body just a bit to the side, burying her head under the covers to block out the brightness. As she breathed softly, still deeply asleep, images suddenly flashed through her mind and she woke up with a start. She pushed the covers out of her body and sat up straight. The sunlight then hit her face and she squint her eyes at it at first, but then she slowly opened them and raised her hand to feel the rays.
A slight frown formed on her forehead and she moved her eyes around, looking slightly confused. Just beside her bed, she saw a piece of cloth and a basin of water and she scratched her head, wondering how it got there.
