Morgan could not help but feel uneasy as time ticked by. Sitting here all day on Zade's watch wasn't helping her at all. She wondered what the Elders must be discussing at the moment. Also, not being able to reach Damien would ruin a lot of things for her. She knows that Scarlet will definitely find out about Melanie and would go after her. She couldn't allow those kids suffer any more than they already did, but she knows she has to do something.
"Zade…"
"Don't even bother yourself. I will never help you," Zade said straightaway without looking at her. "This should be over soon," he said and took in a breath before releasing.
Night was already nearing and Morgan wished there was something she could at least use to convince him. Even as much as she thought about it, there was nothing to hold against the Elders to make him answer her this once.
"Why do you hate Damien so much?" she asked.
