After about an hour, Paige went to knock on Scarlet's door and then opened it to see her curled up in bed. It has been an hour that Melanie left and an hour that she has not stepped out of her room. Most days, she doesn't like stepping out of her room anyway. She just likes to be in, reserved in her own space.
"Hey," Paige said, walking in fully to now go and stand beside her bed while looking down at her.
"Yes mom," Scarlet answered and let out a small sigh.
"I will be stepping out for a short while."
"Okay. Do you want me to come?" Scarlet asked, already raising her upper body.
"No sunshine," Paige quickly said and pat her down back to bed. "I'm just going to see someone and then head back." She set her lips into a small smile and then she let her hand slip away from her body.
