Scarlet felt anxiety build up in her as she prepared herself. It was this day her mother had said they would visit the church that was downtown and this morning she had come to remind her. Scarlet felt a little bit scared. She had stayed up late in the night, searching online to know what happens when a vampire's body touches holy things. Before now, she has seen movies where the cross and holy water reacts to their body and her mother must have thought she needed spiritual help to cleanse whatever demon was inside her, but Scarlet didn't believe in all of that since they were just made up and yet, she couldn't help but be scared.
A knock came on her door and then her mother opened it, peeping inside.
"Are you ready?" She asked.
Scarlet let out a nervous breath and she quickly smiled and gave a nod.
