Scarlet followed Damien down a long corridor as he led the way. The place was rather dark but with torches burning brightly. It looked nothing less than a passage leading to a dungeon where most vampires like torturing their victims. Moreover, she didn't think there was a place like this in the house. She would need to ask him for a tour later.
They took a turn and Scarlet could see a large wall in front of them. This was a dead end, she thought, but then she saw Damien place a hand on it and applied force to push it open. The wall separated, making a passage and Scarlet was amazed. She admired the whole building. It was a kind of place she wishes to live in; a place where you have almost everything in your palms and the world doesn't disturbs you. She guessed it must be convenient for him, Damien. Living in a place like this all by himself… she wonders if he ever gets lonely, but then she thought;
