She decided that it was going to be best for her if she didn't try to push him any further. She knew that it wouldn't end well and there was only so much confidence that she carried in herself.
She pulled her hand away from his lap and she watched as he chuckled lightly as he shook his head at her. She wanted to put her hand back but she didn't know what that would lead to. The truth was that she wasn't planning on finding out.
She watched the dinner go by but she felt her appetite lessen. She wasn't entirely sure that she wanted to eat anymore. This brooding man who was beside her was able to do something to her that no one else ever had before. She wasn't sure what it was about him but he was able to unlock a part of her that she intended to lock up.
