"Department head, don't be so fierce. You're scaring the newcomer away. We need someone to help share the workload, or we'll be coming to you to complain!" A colleague joked from behind Evelyn Sherman.
"Yeah, department head, you can't question her abilities just because Evelyn looks pretty."
Another colleague next to Evelyn joined in to ease the tension.
"All of you give me headaches. Lily, you're in charge of showing her around. Help her familiarize herself with our department's operations, and then assign her some simple tasks to start with."
The department head casually appointed a senior employee to take care of Evelyn.
"Lily, nice to meet you. I've dealt with many reporters in the past, and I know the ropes of promoting the film crew. I believe I can handle the work in a new department," Evelyn greeted her new colleague.
However, she was taken aback by Lily's unfriendly gaze.
