As the woman drifted into a deep sleep, Daniel Cooper gently placed her on the pillow, got up, and walked to the window to make a phone call.
The voice on the other end of the call could almost be described as irritable.
"When will you stop bothering me? If I die suddenly, you'll be solely responsible!"
Daniel moved the phone slightly from his ear, "I have an issue."
"It better be a life-or-death situation, or I'll come over and set your house on fire."
He pursed his lips, "Amy's reaction is all wrong. Are you sure she only has a mild concussion and nothing else?"
The breathing on the other side stopped for a moment, then the voice questioned seriously, "What are her symptoms? Nausea and vomiting? Pain? High fever? Describe her condition in detail, and I will come over immediately with help."
Daniel listened as he heard rustling noises of dressing on the other side, thought for two seconds, and replied, "She just keeps feeling drowsy."
