Before Amelia could figure it out, she heard Lana Parker ask, "Dr. Foster, what would you like to drink, coffee or tea?"
Why was she being so hospitable?
As the saying goes, whoever offers courtesy without reason must have ulterior motives. Besides, Daniel had said that Lana had long known about their past relationship.
Amelia looked at the other person with probing eyes, but no matter how she looked at her, Lana's eyes and expression were gentle and calm, revealing no clue.
As the saying also goes, "Don't slap the face of a smiling person." Unable to understand Lana's intentions and having no choice but to hold down her anger temporarily, Amelia responded, "Thank you, but there's no need."
She then looked at the man sitting behind the desk and said, "I was scheduled to discuss something with Mr. Cooper originally, but since Mrs. Cooper is here, I'd better not bother."
