Seeing their gazes, Gon felt awkward. He looked at Hana, only to see that she was giving him the same look.
"Look, now Isolde knows how far Alan will go for her. This will stop her from making ridiculous requests and will also shorten the time Alan needs."
"I am just doing what is best for my friend, okay?"
"Yes, what you say is right, but still..." Mirei's voice trailed off, unsure of what more to say.
Hana held Gon's hand warmly, gazing lovingly at him. "Don't worry, Gon, my love. No matter what kind of person you are, I will always be on your side."
Gon scratched his head at Hana's words. "Am I really wrong, Hana?"
Hana didn't answer and instead kissed him on the cheek. Gon turned his gaze to the others, but they all looked away.
When he looked at Alan, Alan coughed. "Well, you were only looking out for me. I should thank you for that."
"I do hope you give some warning next time, though."
