Watching Isolde laugh, Alan felt his heart beat faster, and then he smiled.
"That's good. You should laugh more, you know, just like when you were a kid."
"Keeping those stiff expressions will make your face wrinkle."
"Hmmph, what do you know about me, and what wrinkles?"
"You know it's impossible even for people in the slums to get that."
Her eyes turned back to cold.
She then grabbed the injection, scanning it with her implant to make sure it was safe, and then injected herself, curing her wound instantly.
"Why should I go with you?"
"Don't you know I am nothing now? I have no background; my personality is bad and cold, and with the money you get from Aurora, you could easily pay someone to become more beautiful than me."
Alan laughed. "What money? I gave half of it to my mother and the rest I used to pay the others for this chance to be with you."
