Prince Dominic
Last time they had been here, he had left his sister with her friends in order to walk off his nerves and think up a plan B should they ever be found. Of course his go to plan had always been to take the fall, but knowing his sister, she would rather die before he died, or die with him. With that sobering thought in mind he had then decided to give everything he had in order to ensure that this crime was never linked back to any of them. His sister had done everything for him, doing this was nothing.
As they walked through the forbidden forest alone, his mind returned to what they had done the night before. That night had been a magical night for him if he was being honest, but the fact that it felt so good that it was bad made him feel guilt as well. Sure he had always loved his sister, and it was no secret she loved him dearly and was willing to kill for him, but that didn't change the fact that he had put her in a terrible position where not kissing him in return and taking the kissing far enough that it was almost as if they had just had sex, would hurt his feelings and probably shut him down. He felt like a manipulator, he felt terribly sorry as well but had not gotten any chance to talk about it and just when he had thought they could, the witnesses had decided to call an emergency meeting.
He was smart enough to know about incest, that was a relationship that was only practiced in the North of Syera far from his father's disapproving glance but still close enough to irk him whenever the thought of a Great Council meeting came up. He was also smart enough to know that his sister didn't love him like that, she was a normal person, not an abomination like him. People like her didn't deserve to be the sexual fantasies of people like him, especially when they were twins. She didn't deserve a perverted anomaly to want something more from her. What more did he deserve from her? At the risk of her reputation, she had defended him, fought for him, spoken for him, helped him, spoken to him in private and public and so rcently... killed for him. He was a bad brother to demand or worse, expect something more from her.
"I hate myself for the position I have placed you in. A position in which you wanted to say no, but didn't want to hurt me and that's not fair, it is manipulative of me." He confessed as he retraced his steps to the point where he had buried the knife. "I just want to know where you stand on this, I was so overtaken by my emotions that I acted out of instinct; I don't want a moment of weakness to weaken our bond." Dominic finished.
Dominica looked at him calmly, giving no emotion away before she came closer to him. "Don't get me wrong Nic, I don't regret last night. I have also wanted to have that with you for a long time now, but I feel like I have been manipulating you in some way, somehow I must have changed the innocent love you had for me to something wrong and I feel bad about it. I allowed you to go further than kissing me and despite how gratifying it was to receive and give that kind of pleasure to you, I think it should not happen again." She said before the turned around to kept moving forward. "So we are all good alright? Let us return to how we were before the kiss and you know; there needn't be any awkwardness between us."
Her reply was a bit of a surprise really. He had expected her to be angry and to hit him or say something that would put him in his place, instead she had told him that she felt the same way towards him, and for a longer time than him. He had no idea what to say to that, it was almost as if they were both feeling guilty about last night for manipulating each other! Releasing a sigh of acknowledgement, he returned to his task of looking for the knife, they were in a dangerous place and had to be out of the forest before the Cocksyd decided to patrol the area they were currently in.
It didn't take long for him to find the spot where he had buried the knife that night, so with a nod on his head to indicate to his sister that he had found the knife he got down on his knees to dig it out. Once they dug up the knife, they returned to the others and found them looking so uncomfortable with their completed task that Dominic let out a chuckle.
"Oh laugh it up my Prince, you left us with this undignified task of undressing a corpse while you took yourself and her royal highness on a trip." Derek said. "Hope you succeeded at least."
"Sure we did." Nica said as she inspected the naked Edward. "You'll make a fine husband Derek, of that I am sure."
"I'm sure I would, but sadly I am into ladies." He replied as he folded Edward's clothes very neatly.
"Oh really, I find that hard to believe seeing as I only see you spending time with Edward's former friends and before his death you two were as tight as the balls under your belt." Dominic said.
"Like the way you and your sister are? If I didn't know better I would think you were either into your sister or you were impotent."
"Now we want to compare dicks?" He quipped so fast it even surprised him. "I assure you Derek, you would lose by a landslide in that arena."
"Okay, how about we stop doing that and instead finish what we cam out here to do?" Curtis asked as he literally stepped between them. Dominic was actually enjoying the little banter, but it seemed like Derek was getting heated by it.
"Oh no no, let them continue, I haven't had this much fun since last night." His sister replied.
"I suggest we leave now before we push our lucks too... far." Elswyth's trailed off as they heard a cackle which signaled the approach of a Cocksyd.
A Cocksyd was a giant lizard that spat out acid from its tongue, acid strong enough to melt a full grown person into a sack of melted flesh in a matter of minutes. No magic spell could heal such injury and only the most powerful Saints could take on a Cocksyd and win. With that scary thought in mind, they all came to a unanimous decision and decided to get the hell out of the forest before they became nothing but melted flesh next to a dead Edward.
The run back to the Tower was a very decisive and a relatively short run although they tried their best not to use magic to enhance their natural speed, the result was a very gassed gang of murderers and a barely panting Dominic. Locking the door was done quickly before they began to once more sneak around the Tower all the way to the kitchen where they had planned to burn the clothes.
"Who gets to keep the murder weapon?" Nica asked as they watched the clothes burn slowly.
"I obviously can't and neither can you or Derek. I saw the way Lady Amanda looked at us she is very suspicious of the three of us but you two are not even on her radar. Hell, you two barely made the list of top 90 possible murderers, and we are 100 in this Tower." He replied.
"I will keep it." Elswyth said as she folded her hands, eyes steady on the flames. "I am the least suspicious of everyone in the Tower, even if the murder weapon was found on my bed, Lady Amanda would believe I was framed."
"It's too dangerous for you to keep it, let Curtis keep it. If he loves you he will keep it for you." Derek said.
"Your brother is right, I don't want you to be anymore involved in this than you already are." Curtis said as he placer a hand on her shoulder. "I will keep the knife."
"I am not going to get into a debate with you and my brother. I am keeping the knife and that is final." She said and turned to face Dominic hand stretched to receive the knife.
Between she and Curtis, she was indeed the most unsuspecting criminal out there. Her reputation was pristine as usual and she had the whole innocent damsel working for her and as she had said, even if she was caught with the knife Lady Amanda would say she had been framed. With that in mind, he gave her the knife despite the refusal from brother and boyfriend.
"Be safe alright?" Nica said as she placed her hands on Elswyth's shivering shoulders.
The girl nodded her head in reply before the Five of them decided to call it a night. They had done thier best to cover their part in this, the rest was up to the Chief Inquisitor. As they closed the door of the kitchen to leave, a thought hit Dominic as hard as a falling building. They had run back, forgetting to hide their tracks. If Lady Amanda saw their tracks she could spell it to find everyone with the shoe size and shoe type which would inevitably come back to the Five of them.
Fuck!
