I was able to outrun the police men because they weren't as nimble as I was. And on getting to my door, I saw a man tapping at my door bell in frustration and behind him was a huge box which was the height, and almost the same width as my door frame.
It was the pod's delivery guy... So fast.
I quickly ran up to him "sorry for making you wait... I got delayed by a dog chase" I apologized, while inputing my door lock pin, which was followed by a palm scan, before my door unlocked.
The man's mood eased up when he heard my apology and chuckled at my joke. "Your lucky you didn't get roughed up by them" he said. I just smiled and helped him bring in the heavy pod box, while wondering how he managed to get it up the stairs alone.
Five minutes later, he was done with the installation of the game pod which was in my room. I didn't think installing it in the living room would be a wise choice.
"You'll have to leave it to charge for seven hours and your good to go. You could play for two days straight without worrying for food or water because of these..." He pointed at a dozen large tubes that came with pod, which contained clear green bubbling liquid. "They're called nutrient bars, which keeps your body healthy and hydrated while in the pod. You'll have to change them every three days in the way you saw me did earlier" I nodded in concentration "and when this set is finished, you could buy more at any registered gaming shop. Any questions?" He rounded up and asked.
After he left, I began admiring the gaming pod which was like a luxurious coffin.
*Cough*
It was blue in color and 'silo' was embroidered with silver on it's surface. I could even see my reflection while staring at it.
I swipped my palm over it and the lid opened. The insides were white and was encased in a white fog which were seeping out at slow pace, probably the nutrition bar.
I lightly closed the lid and ran to my refrigerator, grabbing a beer with some chips pack, I ran back to my room, grabbing my laptop from my desk, I sat on my medium sized bed and quickly typed in 'infinity online forum' in the Google search bar.
It was rumoured that with the start of sales for the pods, the infinity online forum was going to be launched, so I decided to check. I quickly found the forum and was overjoyed, now I was finally going to know what this mysterious game is all about.
*Ring*
At that moment my phone began to ring, deciding to settle to caller so I would then focus on the forum, I stood up lazily and dragged myself to my desk where my phone was. I saw the caller ID 'Anya' and wondered why she would be calling me. Swipping to pick up, I raised the phone to my left ear.
"Hello sweetie, missing me already?" I joked.
To be sincere, I've tried hitting on Anya once... Though in a playful way, but she just smiled and acted like she didn't understand what I was trying to do... Ouch.
Anya is a blue eyed hot blondie with a 'cheer leader' vibe, her skin so smooth and soft that gives people the feeling that even the wind could bruise it. She was the kind of girl that could turn any guy on with just a touch.
Speaking from experience.
I normally restrain myself from getting into physical contact with her to avoid the embarrassment of my 'lower chamber'.
"Leonardo Garcia... Would you like to explain to me... Why... The fire alarm went off... a few minutes after you leaped out of the window?" Said Anya in a low, threatening tone.
I was starting to feel imaginary sweats trickling down my forehead.
"Uhmm... I don't know what your talking about" I said with a confused tone and slightly bit my lower lips.
"Do you know... The kind of 'embarrassment'... You caused me today?" She said with the same tone.
"I swear, it wasn't me" I said with a crossed finger.
"I just want you to know that... I never go down without fight" she said with a mischievous tone.
"I think your misunderstan..."
*Beep*
Yeah... She cut the phone on me.
I smiled at myself and returned to my laptop and snacks. Double clicking on the 'Infinity online forum' link, I began to scan for useful informations on the forum.
But to my disappointment, there was only one post from the admins on the forum "learn from the experience".
Yeah... That was it.
