*Ring*
I jolted awake at the first sound of my alarm Which was set for '2:30AM' because Infinity online was launching at '3:00AM'.
I ran into my bathroom, stopping in front of the mirror which was above the sink and staring at the reflection of boy who looked no older than eighteen, with trimmed hair which was sprayed white, dark brown eyes, and a black 'cross' earing dangling from his left ear. He had a 'bad boy' vibe.
Yeah... That's my looks.
I took a quick bath which lasted for fifteen minutes, then worked out for ten minutes and had a quick breakfast, before jumping into my pod and closing the lid over me.
Because today was Saturday, I was planning on spending forty eight hours in infinity online. After jumping into my pod, I began to feel sleepy till I lost consciousness.
Opening my eyes again, I was in a pitch black space which felt boundless and the only source of light was a pop up screen in sight, and no matter which way I tilted my head, it kept following my line of sight. "Cool" I muttered to myself.

*******
[What would you wish to be addressed as?]
The pop up screen changed.
"Priest" I answered without a second thought.
[Priest, welcome to boundless world of 'Infinity', your features and characteristic will be recorded from your brain synthesis.]
[You have the right to ask one basic question, on which I'll answer correctly]
Seems like nobody would be able to modify their game character as it would be the same as their physical character and the same goes for stats.
Damn... I'm starting to love this game.
"Uhmm... What's this game all about?"
[This is not a game. Tread your steps wisely]
And with that, I felt myself pulled by an unknown force.
Opening my eyes, I saw I was in a dim lighted alleyway, and I could hear distant voices of people. I looked at my hands and rubbed my palms together due to the slight cold and... It felt so real. I walked forward while tracing my fingers on the wall, feeling the smooth texture of dust and taking in a deep breath, I could perceive the foul breath with a mixture of industrial smoke from the air.
I was already tearing up, "This is the best virtual game... I've played throughout my lifetime" I said to myself. I quickly made my way towards the exit of the alleyway and could hear the distant voices, getting louder.
I could already see people walking to and fro, and they all looked real, with no tags above their heads. And on getting to the exit of the alleyway, the street was so busy, just like in London rush hour.
While still in awe, I bumped into a man who had mud smeared on his face, he turned around and glared at me, while spitting curses at me. I could only stare with my mouth agape.
NPC's could do that too. I got distracted again by a carriage that drove past me, which was dragged by two horses and the distant horns of a train. Scanning the attires of the passerby's and the building structures, I quickly evaluated that this was an advanced medieval time.
Still scanning the area, I saw a bald man with a weird mustache, who looked like he'd be in his late thirties. He was looking around with a shocked expression, and when he looked in my direction and saw me staring at him, he quickly ran up to me.
"You're a player... right?" He asked in anticipation.
"I think so..." I replied absent minded.
He quickly shook my palm, and said emotionally. "Now this... Is what I call a game". While passerby's were giving us weird glares.
"I really can't belie..."
*Bang*
His sentence was cut short by a gunshot. And with the passerby's running helter skelter, we couldn't really see what happened.
*Bang*
Another shot rang out.
And with the second shot, the streets became scanty in less than five seconds. The bald guy and I were now able to see the source of the gunshots which was a lanky man with a pistol, standing above the body of a young maiden, who was twitching on the floor with two bloody holes on her chest, just across the street.
The bald guy and I were so shocked that we were starting to feel like this wasn't a game, because we could even perceive the scent of the gun powder.
The lanky man looked up at us and pointed the gun at our direction. The bald guy and I both shared looks, and stared back at the lanky man who was pointing a pistol at our direction.
*Bang*
*Thud*.
