Mr. Fu held her hand tightly making Fang Xinyi feel very uncomfortable.
"If not for that Mr. Fu is old. I'd have think that you are trying to hit on my wife." Long Chen said jokingly which seems more like a warning to others.
"Mr. Long, how can I leave a good looking and a wealthy man like you." Fang Xinyi joked.
Mr Fu quickly withdrew his hand and smiled and then changed the subject.
"Mr. Fu, should I lead the way."
"What sort of question is that. Am I the one to lead the way." Long Chen blurted out.
Mr. Fu smiles in embarrassment and leads the way.
He clenched his fist in anger as he leads the way. Everyone knows that Long Chen is someone that no one could afford to offend otherwise he would taught him a lesson.
Long Chen sneered and grabs Fang Xinyi's by the waist making her gasp and followed Fu Tianyu while Assistant Su tails behind them.
Fang Xinyi quickly composed herself and walked beside him with a smile on her face.
They sat down in a corner of the fête which is unusually quiet.
"You don't have to pretend to be what you're not." Long Chen said coldly and dropped her hand.
Fang Xinyi felt cold, it was as if his hand was the one that brought warmth to her body.
And silence ensues.
Soon after, some people came to talk to Long Chen for potential collaborations. Everyone wants to work with him. Since it's rare for him to come to a fête and more hard to book an appointment with him talkess of seeing him so they couldn't afford to miss such a big opportunity.
Fang Xinyi took this opportunity to walk around and make new friends.
It seems no one is willing to be friends with her. But she couldn't blame them. Everyone thinks she's a country bumpkin that doesn't deserves to be with Long Chen.
She sat on a chair near the bar shelf staring at the people dancing happily. The party is booming and full of life. She instinctively glanced at Long Chen and saw him discussing with some people.
She couldn't help but feel remorseful and indebted towards him.
He lost his life in her past life because of her stupid actions. She has always been stupid. Had she treated him well in her past life, he wouldn't have been so indifferent towards her in this life.
Hmph, She regretted it.
"Mrs. Long." A waiter approached her, jolting her back to reality
"Yes." She answered and tucked her hair behind her ear.
"Mr. Long asked me to give you this glass of wine and these chocolates."
"Really." She asked staring at the waiter suspiciously.
"Yeah, you can go and ask him." The waiter said confidently.
'It must be Long Chen. It's impossible for him with a straight face.' She thought.
Fang Xinyi who has always been stupid believed him and collected it from the waiter and took a bite and a sip immediately.
And the waiter walks away
'Humm,the chocolate tastes heavenly. I can't believe Long Chen thinks of me despite the fact he's so busy. He must be pretending to be angry with me then.' She smiled at her thought..
The waiter walks into an isolated place. After making sure that no one is present, he dials a number on his phone and said
"I have given to her boss."
Not long after, Fang Xinyi felt a change in her body, feeling a little hot
'Why am I feeling dizzy.' She thought and walked towards a waiter.
"Please where's the restroom."
"It's over there." The waiter pointed at a direction.
"Thanks." She said and walked to the restroom feeling weak and powerless.
'What the hell is going on.' She collapsed right at the front of the restroom.
A man appeared, his gaze wandered over Fang Xinyi's body greedily.
He picked up her body and tries to go out using the back door.
"Where are you taking the young lady to?." A voice asked making the man halt in his steps.
The man turned around to answer with Fang Xinyi still in his hands.
"Fang Xinyi?." Long Chen called out in surprise. The man drops Fang Xinyi on the cold tile in panic and ran away.
Long Chen rushes to her and saw a pink hue on her body.
"Fuck, she has been drugged." He mutters and calls Assistant Su.
"Get the car."
"Why boss." Assistant Su asked feeling confused.
"Don't ask me any questions. Just do exactly what I asked you to do."
He hangs up the call and carried Fang Xinyi.
He rushed out with Fang Xinyi in his hands not caring about his appearance and the paparazzi.
"What is wrong with him." The people asked themselves in confusion.
"It seems like someone hurt Mrs. Long."
The fête was brought to an abrupt end.
Long Chen quickly got into the car. And without being told, Assistant Su started the car.
Fang Xinyi woke up trying to unzip her dress.
"Keep calm. You'll be fine very soon." Long Chen stopped her.
"Long Chen. Is that you." She asked.
"Yea." He replied.
"Please help me. I'm in pain." She said wanting him to hug her. She needed his body heat.
Long Chen groans, it seems his self restraint is starting to loosen.
Th car stopped in front of the mansion. Long Chen quickly got off, rushing inside commanding Assistant Su.
"Call Tang Cheng right now."
Long Chen ran to the master bedroom, straight to the bathroom and dropped her in the bathtub.
Fang Xinyi's body cooled down a bit. And her consciousness returned although she still feel dizzy.
"How are you feeling now."
"Okay." She replied and slept off in the bathtub.
Long Chen didn't bother to wake up. He jaut stood beside her preventing her from hitting her head.
"Boss, Doctor Tang." Assistant Su called from the bedroom.
Long Chen carried Fang Xinyi from the bathroom, dried her body and changed her body then brought her to the bedroom.
Tang Cheng checked her and breathed a sigh of relief and said
"Thanks God, she didn't intake much of the drug. Otherwise she would be in much heat. Anyway, you know what to do right?."
And prepared to leave.
"Aren't you going to give her any drugs." Long Chen asked.
"We all know that, there is no antidote for such drugs. You'll have to…."
Long Chen sighed and said
"You two can leave."
Tang Cheng giggles and said jokingly
"Don't cripple sister in law Xinyi."
And walked out with Assistant Su.
