Third person POV
Not long after, Gretchel's horse wagon arrived in front of the main administrative house. As Gretchel gets off, Jan gets off to get her trunk. Because of this, the two accompanying Undead animal guards went to Lloyd, Zeke, and Sati and informed them of their arrival.
In response to that, Lloyd and his two trainers are very surprised to hear that.
"What?"
"Gretchel-chan?"
"What is she doing here?"
"Apparently, she ran away from home to be with you, I think," the first guard responded back.
"She and her driver are now outside in the front," the second guard added.
At this point, Lloyd couldn't believe that his younger half-sister and former driver would do all that just for Gretchel to be with him.
So, he gave out orders to let them in.
The two gate guards did so and went back into the house to let Gretchel and Jan in while he would finish the rest of his training.
Shortly thereafter, at 6 in the morning, Lloyd and two of his subordinates came to the living room, only to see Gretchel and Jan being given some tea and bread by Hale and Laura.
"Hi, you two," Lloyd greeted positively.
Upon hearing that, the young girl and her driver looked at him.
"Hi there, Lloyd-sama," Jan greeted back.
But, Gretchel burst into tears and ran towards her older half-brother, hugging him tightly. "Big brother! I thought you're dead!"
"That's okay, that's okay, Gretchel-chan," Lloyd replied back as he hugs her back. "I'm still alive, and I am right here."
Gretchel then wiped her tears. "I missed you so much."
"Yes, me too as well."
Watching this, the rest in the room, except for Jan, are very stunned and astonished at their close brother-sister relationship.
"Wow, I didn't know they are that close."
"Yes, they are," Jan replied while folding his arms.
After that, Lloyd and Gretchel discharged from hugging.
"Big brother, I'm here to live with you," Gretchel said to Lloyd. "Yes, I know that," replied Lloyd back. "You're welcome to this home."
Gretchel was happy to hear that, feeling that she was truly loved by someone that is close to her and a true friend and family to her.
After that, Jan unfolded his arms and lifted Gretchel's trunk next to the coffee table. "Well, here's her stuff."
"Is that it?" Lloyd asked.
"Yeah, she couldn't carry a lot."
"I see."
Lloyd then ordered Laura to carry Gretchel's belongings to her new room upstairs.
"Yes, master," Laura responded, before lifting the said trunk and carry it upstairs.
Then, Gretchel pulls Lloyd's pants gently. "Um, today is my birthday."
"Yes, I still remembered that," Lloyd replied back happily. "Happy birthday, sis. How old are you now?"
"She's now 13," Jan answered back in response, before standing up, "and although she has elaborate birthday parties, she was not happy when she is celebrating it without you."
Understanding that, Lloyd looked at Gretchel. "Don't worry, sis, let's celebrate that, together."
"Really?" asked Gretchel.
Lloyd then nodded to confirm it.
Gretchel was happy to hear that.
Then, after that, Jan said to them, "Well, I have to go. My masters would find out that I'm out for too long."
"Oh, sure, thanks for everything, " Lloyd responded with a slight bow.
"Thanks for everything, Jan-san!" Gretchel exclaimed to Jan.
With that, Jan grabbed his hat and left the house, before hopping on his horse wagon and left the capital.
Once Jan was gone, Lloyd said to the two gate guards, "Thank you, you two may go back to your duties."
"Yes, sir," the two guards responded with obedience, before leaving the house and going back to their duties at the main gate.
