Tamra skipped towards Azure as soon as Exo and her were teleported back to the Chaos Abyss Realm.
To Azure, she looked just like a playful fourteen year old girl that was skipping towards her crush or her best friend or something. It was hard to believe that this innocent looking girl could inflict that amount of suffering on a living creature.
"Did I do well?" She asked playfully when she reached Azure's side.
Azure shuddered at first. He was almost prepared to run away when he heard her voice. Then he looked at her again. She looked so innocent, and yet she wasn't. She was a heartless, ruthless person.
"Mmhmm". Azure said absentmindedly. He probably would've run away from the conversation if not for the fact that he had a lot of important questions to ask. "Hey, I noticed something earlier".
"What?" Tamra seemed to be slightly surprised that Azure was still talking to her at this point.
"That bible verse that you used against Exo, the second one". Azure said. "Why is it different?"
"Different how?" Tamra raised an eyebrow.
"I've seen someone use that verse before and it was a lot different to what happened when you used it". Azure said.
Tamra chuckled. "Did you not go to any of the introductory school classes?" She asked playfully. "Bible verses manifest according to how the user comprehends it. The difference is between the two manifestations mean that we understand the verse differently".
"Thanks". Azure was glad that he had someone like Tamra as an acquaintance. Lord knew how lost he would've been if not for her.
A few more battles took place, then it was time for Azure's match with Balvin.
"Azure, Balvin". The middle aged man called out. "Please step out".
"Good luck". Tamra said as Azure walked towards the middle of the crowd.
When he and Balvin were at the middle, he couldn't help but suck in some air when he noticed the size and height difference between the two of them.
Azure saw black for a few seconds, then he appeared at a mountain peak. The mountain seemed to be very high as Azure couldn't see all the way to its starting point. Azure was fairly certain that they could reach for the clouds.
The peak of the mountain was relatively flat, there was a rectangle with a perimeter of about five hundred meters of even space.
"Azure, Balvin, are you ready?" The middle aged man asked.
"Yes". Balvin said almost immediately.
Azure took in a huge puff of air then let it out before replying. "Sure, I'm ready".
"Alright then". The middle aged man rubbed his forehead. "Begin!"
Azure and Balvin eyed each other. Azure instantly noticed that Balvin had no weapon on him.
As soon as he came to terms with that realization, Azure rushed at Balvin and slashed at him.
Swing Azure's movement, Balvin smiled. He raised his hand to block that attack that Azure had initiated.
The sound of metal clashing against metal faded into the background as Azure's sword came in contact with Balvin's forearm.
"What the…". Azure was shocked. How exactly was Balvin's hand that strong that it withstood a slash from his sword without so much as a cut.
Balvin must've guessed what he was thinking, because almost immediately, he said. "Skin colored armor". He pushed Azure back. "Catches everyone off guard".
As soon as Azure felt his body move away from Balvin, he saw a fist rapidly approaching his face. He knew at once that he would not be able to evade the attack. He could only close his eyes and brace himself for the impact.
Azure's body flew backwards a considerable distance before crashing onto the floor. A cloud of dust rose where Azure landed.
He coughed violently and stood up slowly only to see Balvin's leg approaching his face.
What happened next was more of a reflex action, he immediately jumped to the side and drop kicked Balvin on his chest.
Immediately after Azure was shocked speechless. It was as if he drop kicked a brick wall. Balvin's body stood still. Balvin did not even so much as move a step backwards when Azure kicked him.
Azure fell on the ground and immediately scampered backwards fearing a retaliation from Balvin.
Unfortunately, his reaction did little for him. As soon as he got up he felt something heavy hit the side of his face and he was went flying again.
Once he landed this time, he scampered upwards and gritted his teeth. Balvin was not someone that he could fight in a physical battle with weapons.
"For the light shineth upon the darkness and the darkness comprehends it not".
Azure's sword was outlined with a faint azure light. With new found confidence, Azure rushed towards Balvin.
When Azure was less than a meter away from Balvin, an azure light shot out from his sword and hit Balvin on his chest, sending him staggering a few steps back.
Azure picked up the pace and appeared in front of Balvin less than two seconds later, his plan was to take advantage of the little time that Balvin appeared to be unstable and land a killing blow.
Azure's sword advanced unhindered towards Balvin's neck and Azure was beginning to be sure that his sword was going to connect with its target. That was until a big wooden club entered the fray.
Azure felt every bone in his body vibrating as his sword came in contact with Balvin's club.
He didn't have any time to stabilize himself when he saw the club advancing towards him. He could only watch as the club hit him and flung him a way similar to when a child throws a doll away.
Azure's body landed on the floor with a bang. He was fairly certain that there was a crack where he landed. He was more certain that he broke a rib or two.
He felt a stinging, sour taste in his mouth and spat out some blood.
He stood up slowly, favoring his ribs and beheld the sight of Balvin holding his club, his mouth slightly agape.
Balvin seemed to have translated that as a look of surprise because he shrugged and said. "What? It's just a club".
