Within this period, Emily had been taking care of Miranda with the utmost attention. Every day, she would take time to apply medicine to Miranda's legs while ensuring the latter took her medication.
Soon enough, the blisters on her legs scabbed over, and the scabs fell off as well.
There were barely any burn marks left behind on her pair of fair and long legs. On the contrary, her skin seemed to have become even softer, just like a newborn baby's.
Miley had called her a couple of times. She was extremely sorry for Miranda's injury that day at the Fuller Mansion. When she talked to her, she sounded pained at the suffering Miranda had to go through.
After making a full recovery, Miranda went back to work. She went to the office wearing a light grey professional suit—a tight-fitting skirt with a pair of eight-centimetre stiletto heels. The entire get-up made her legs look long and slender and perfectly encapsulated her beauty.
She was sitting at my desk, carefully sorting through the documents when Michael knocked on her desk and looked at her with a smile. "Miss Miranda, Bring the copy of the Italy report to my office."
She knocked on the door and went in after he answered. "Please see if there is anything that needs to be modified."
She handed the file to Michael but when he received the documents, he deliberately held her hand.
Feeling disgusted, she withdrew her hand immediately. At the same time, my expression darkened.
Her impression of Michael had always been one of repulsion.
"Miss Miranda, I'll be frank with you. From the first day you arrived, I thought you were beautiful and talented. If I'd given you a few more opportunities, you'd have no problem getting a raise or a promotion."
When Michael said this, he sounded rather proud and arrogant. His tone was as if he owned DonB.
"Your tongue will bleed when you know who am I" She smirked inside.
"Thank you for your kindness. Please take a look at this document first. If there is something wrong, I can modify it." Miranda said politely.
Michael stretched out his big, chubby hand and grasped my shoulder whilst wearing a disgusting smile on his face.
A wave of nausea hit her. Immediately, she pushed him away and stepped as far away as I could.
"Please have some self-respect. If other staff come to know about this, it wouldn't be good for your reputation." Her tone was icy as she stared at Michael with disdain.
"Don't you understand what I mean? If you serve me well, there would be no need for you to work so hard in the future. I'll give the work to others and you can have all the credit."
Upon hearing that Miranda smacked Michael in the face so forcefully that a loud slapping sound could be heard resounding in the office.
"How dare you slap me?" Michael was glaring daggers at me as he pointed a finger and roared.
She then glared at Michael before rushing out of his office without saying a word.
When she returned to her seat, her emotions were going through a rollercoaster ride.

Miranda bought a few salmons coming back to the Villa. Throughout the rest of the day, Miranda was in the kitchen.
"Please try. Emily" Miranda said.
Emily tried a small bite by using a fork, and her face instantly glowed. Emily praised, "Miranda, the fish tastes good. I'm sure Mr Fuller would love it." Glancing at the clock on the wall, Miranda plastered a grin on her face as she said, "It's almost dinner time. He might arrive after ten minutes."
She took the salmon and displayed it in the middle of the dining table. She wanted to make Richard something that he loved eating as an act of welcome.
As she walked toward the window, she dialled him. Enjoying the scenery of the garden, she held her breath while waiting for him to answer the call.
After ten seconds, the call went through.
Just as Miranda was about to speak, a gentle and feminine voice could be heard from the other end. "Hi, who's there?"
Miranda found the voice familiar.
"Nicole?" She asked.
"Miranda, Richard is having dinner now. He took me to the hospital this evening. Don't worry. I am fine."
Although Nicole's voice sounded gentle, Miranda knitted her brows slightly as she could tell that she was trying to assert dominance.
In a flash, she understood the situation and said "Okay. Nicole, take care of your health." She swiftly hung up the phone.
He arrived but he didn't even bother to give her a call and went straight to Nicole's place. She stared out the window blankly with a lost look in her eyes.
After placing the soup on the dining table, Emily cast a glance at Miranda, who was standing at the window. "Miranda, have you called Mr. Fuller?"
Miranda groaned, "He already had dinner." As she entered the dining hall for dinner, she found the salmon on the table to be an eyesore. With that, she took it to the kitchen and threw it into the bin.
At the sight of Miranda's actions, Emily seemed to figure out what had happened and sighed inwardly.
