Chapter 11 - Chapter 10

Back in Spain, the eldest young master of the Salvador clan can be seen sitting on one of the several couches in a private room in a high-end hospital where Sheldon's youngest son is confined.

"I deeply apologize, Anne. I'm also confused since my sister already promised to meet with your son and she is not the type of person to go back on her word" Sheldon apologized with a harsh scowl as he talked on his phone.

"I'll give her a call immediately. I'm sure she has a reason for it" he added.

Even though he is frowning, he sounds composed and in control, but in actuality, he is humiliated since he just got a call from a business colleague telling him that her child had been waiting for his sister for hours only to be stood up.

As soon as Sheldon's call with his business partner Anne ended, he immediately called Hannah. His eyes are burning while waiting for his sister to answer hee phone as though they contain fire, and no one dares to come near him.

For a while, Hannah's phone rang. However, no one answered the call, and all that was heard was an automated message from an AI, which enraged Sheldon even more.

"What the hell is she doing?!" he growled.

"She already said she'd meet with the Racca family's young master, why did she back out now?!" Sheldon slammed his phone down angrily, smashing it on the glass table in front of him, making a loud noise in the process.

"Calm down, Sheldon. What's wrong with you?" Samantha said, noticing how agitated her husband was which immediately made Sheldon looked at her, her sweet yet stern voice slightly lessened the frown on his face.

"This is Hannah we're talking about. Just like what you've told your business partner, your sister must have her reason," she continued while walking towards where Sheldon was.

Samantha and Sheldon have already been married for a few years now. She had long known that Sheldon adored his younger siblings way too much, and he wouldn't even think twice about going out of his way to indulge them.

Samantha had also long considered the twins her younger sisters, and she had watched him spoil them since the day she joined and entered the Salvador family, so seeing how angry he was with Hannah when she failed to show up for a date made her frown.

"I know, Sammy. It's just... *sigh* The business project I'm working on with Anne would increase the company's monthly revenue by forty-four billion dollars more each month"

"Not to mention that it will also expand the company's field. I can't just let Hannah screw it up when all she has to do is attend one date," Sheldon reasoned, finally able to let out and tell his frustration to someone now that he's with his beloved wife.

"You aren't planning to force your sister into an arranged marriage for the sake of business, are you?" Samantha inquired further after hearing her husband's arguments.

"Sheldon, just because it works for us doesn't mean that you get to do it to her as well" the frown on her face has now turned into a glare, showing just how displeased she is with her husband's current attitude.

"Of course not! How could I do that to my own sister? Even if the entire Salvador clan goes bankrupt, my sisters are free to marry whomever they want," he explained in a rush.

He had no idea how or why. Just moments before, it was him who was annoyed with his sister, but now, it was his wife who was upset with him, but that wasn't important now. Instead, he focused more on pacifying his wife's brewing anger.

Unbeknownst to the couple, the girl that they are talking about is now lying in the back seat of someone else's car with a man dressed in a full set of black clothes behind its wheels, driving them near the top of a forested mountain.

The young maiden's unconscious body sways from right to left along with the movements of the car while her kidnapper occasionally looks at her through the rearview mirror, making sure that she is indeed unconscious.

Almost half a day later, a deep groan echoed inside a dark room when Hannah finally woke up from her unconscious state.

Despite being light-headed and feeling how heavy her eyelids were, she tried her best to open her eyes. However, despite opening her eyes, she was unable to see anything.

Instead, she just felt that she was lying on a cold, hard floor with an intense headache pounding from the back of her head.

The clothes that she is wearing weren't able to give her any warmth at all, so her body started trembling as she slowly stood up on her feet, little by little.

Hannah started looking for a way out as soon as she was able to stand up, moving her gaze everywhere around her, but because the room is so dark, she couldn't see anything.

Instead, she can only walk slowly while using her hands to feel the walls around her for support.

Her head was pounding so painfully, and the possibility of coming face-to-face with her captor once she escaped from the room she was in made Hannah feel even worse than she does now.

She felt so suffocated right now, as if she could once again pass out at any moment. She felt so weak, and with her fear of the unknown, it took her a lot of time and effort before she was able to calm herself.

"I can't keep panicking here. I have to contact my brother and let him know that I need help" she thought to herself.

With her newly found sense of phony courage, Hannah had finally found the door, though it had taken a while and not without her heart hammering louder and louder with each step she took out of nervousness.

She took a deep breath and gripped the doorknob tightly with her quivering hands before twisting it quickly. She reasoned that since she was going to die anyway, it was best not to die as a coward.

When Hannah pushed the door open, a bright light quickly entered her field of vision, prompting her to squint her eyes tightly.

She opened her eyes properly, focusing on what was in front of her with a few rapid blinks in order to adjust to the harsh light, but what she saw next made her freeze in place.

When she spotted three unfamiliar men, all of whom appeared more cruel than the others, sitting on the couches around a table full of guns and armaments, it was almost as if she could hear her chance of fleeing from this unknown area shattering.

Hannah's heart sank as she took in the scene before her. The three men exuded an aura of danger and power, and she knew that escaping would be nearly impossible in their presence.

Fear gripped her tightly, paralyzing her movements as she stood frozen at the doorway.

Just as the image in front of her caused Hannah to freeze, her unexpected appearance also halted the man who was speaking as all three of them turned their gazes at her.

With their scalding gaze on her, Hannah instinctively took a step back towards the dark room she had just escaped from, as if she was ready to lock herself in there if necessary.

"Just what is happening right now?! Which one of them kidnapped me? Oh gosh! I just saw their guns, bombs, and whatever else there is! Am I going to die? Is that how they will silence me?"

While Hannah was emotionally panicked and bombarding herself with questions, one of the three men rose from his seat and moved towards her with a cheeky smirk on his lips.

"Well, well, well. Who do you have here, Ivan?"

(Special Monologue, Hannah's Thoughts)

Hey guys, what do you think about the author? Isn't she a little bit too cruel? ୧(๑•̀ᗝ•́)૭

Why, for example, does she have to force me to deal with the man who kidnapped me as soon as I step out of the room? (╥﹏╥)

Why did she have to endanger me? Ha?
