When Ashton did return that evening as promised, he was in a different suit and although he probably hadn't rested much, he still looked extremely dapper.
What brought a smile to Emmaline's face was the fact that he had brought Camilla and a huge basket of snacks with him.
"You didn't think we were going to miss the first episode of Touch of Love, did you?" Camilla quipped, poking her head out from behind the heir and looking way too friendly with him.
In the rush of the previous day and all the complications, Emmaline had forgotten that the first episode was about to be aired this evening!
"What is going on?" She hissed to Camilla when Ashton had gone to set the television up.
Camilla shrugged with a cheeky expression, "He picked me up, paid for all the snacks, bought like ten million of all the ones I said were your favourite and carried all of the groceries."
