Chapter 11 - Cool Moms

Y/N's PointOfView

"Mom! I don't see why I needed to go with you to the park!" I complained.

"Because Mija, y'all need to get out of that house! All you do is mope around in your room thinking about the past, and Aphmau just decides to play that video game all day! Plus, some fresh air and exercise never hurt anyone. Look, all I'm saying is I'm glad you paused your game and decided to come out with me! Mommy appreciates it!" Mom said, smiling happily.

"You can't pause MMOs, Mom! (sighs) But if it makes you happy, then it makes me happy. heheh." Aphmau giggled.

"Yeah, I guess if you're happy....." I trailed off.

"Those are my girls, heheh. So, what do you think of your mom's new jogging outfit?" She asked, posing like a teenager.

"I-It's a little revealing, heheh. But it looks great on you!" Aphmau said, chuckling awkwardly.

"Thanks! It's pretty tight, yo." Mom exclaimed, making a peace sign.

"Mom! Where did you learn to talk like that?" I exclaimed.

"From an old friend of mine. Speaking of which, she should be here any minute." Mom explained, checking her watch.

"W-wait, you invited another adult to join us? Ugh. Mom!" I said, annoyed that she might just ditch us.

"Haha! Of course I did! I didn't want to be seen alone with my daughter! She's so embarrassing." Mom sassed.

"Heh, don't sass me, Mom. Ugh! Wait, I should be saying that about you!" Aphmau yelled playfully.

"Haha! Calm down, Mija! This "other adult" is cool. I just reconnected with her this week. In fact, she's bringing her kids, too, so while we're jogging and catching up, you can play with them!" Mom stated excitedly.

Oh, so we're just free babysitters. I grumbled.

Mom just laughed at us and ignored me.

"Fine, but you owe us. So, are we watching some five-year-old brat again?" I asked, groaning.

"Hm? Well,-" Mom started, but a lady with black hair and blue eyes walked up to us.

"Hey, Gurlfriend!" The lady exclaimed.

"AH! Wassup gurl!" Mom squealed.

"Oh Sylvanna, it's been years! You're still lookin' fine!" She said.

"Who is our mom anymore?" I whispered to Aphmau. She just shrugged, and we looked back at the two.

"You're one to talk! I just had two kids. You had three, and look at you! I'm so jealous, Zianna!" Mom said, looking at the lady.

"Oh, you must be Aphmau, and you must be Y/N! Look at how beautiful y'all are! You're all going to have so much fun together!" The lady who mom called "Zianna" exclaimed.

"It's nice to meet you! W-wait. You said "all?"  Aphmau questioned, "Great. So we're babysitting multiple brats."

Soon, Garroth, Vylad, and Zane all walked toward us.

"What are they doing here!!" I mumbled.

"Well, I wouldn't exactly call us brats." Garroth said chuckling.

"Ah, what the-! G-Garroth! W-What are you doing here?!" Aphmau stammered.

"Funny, I was about to ask you the same thing. But I think I figured it out." Garroth chuckled again.

"Wait, you're- Zianna's-" I started but got cut off by the edge lord himself.

Zane sighed, "So, these are the brats we have to babysit?"

"Hey, not alone, buddies!" Vylad waved to us.

"Mom, are you kidding me! These guys go to my school!" I groaned.

"Zianna! I didn't realize that your boys went to the same school as my daughters!" Mom exclaimed dramatically.

"Oh, same-zies! That's so adorable!" Zianna said in her voice that made me feel safer.

"Oh, we have so much to catch up on. Ready to start our jog?" Mom asked Zianna.

"Right. Ok, kids, have fun together! Remember, Zuzu, I want you to try at least one sport with your brothers and new friends while you're here at the park! We need to toughen you up, but not so much that you aren't so tough for mommy kisses!" She said sweetly.

I laughed, and Zane's face turned red from anger or embarrassment....or both.

"Uh- Mom! Stop embarrassing me!" He yelled, pushing Zianna away.

"I love you too, Zuzu! You kids play nice!" She said, her voice not sounding menacing at all.

"Oh Zianna, do you still listen to our lady, Beyonce?" Mom asked Zianna as they walked off.

"Are you kidding me?! I brought those portable speakers so we could listen to her while we ran! This is going to be the bo-omb!" Zianna exclaimed.

"Word, yo!" Mom yelled like an outdated teenager.

They jogged away and started chatting more.

I KNEW THEY WERE GOING TO DITCH US I FRICKING KNEW IT!" I yelled way too loud for comfort.

They all looked at me wide-eyed. Everyone was silent until Aphmau spoke up.

"So let's not talk about Y/N's outbursts there, hehe..." Aph said nervously."Let's talk about our moms.

"Oh my Irene." Vylad said with a blank stare.

"Can Mom get any more embarrassing?" Zane asked, hiding his head in his hands.

"Mmmm... So, that's where my Mom learned to talk like that. I see." I noted tapping my finger on my chin.

"Um, I'm pretty sure your mom influenced our mom." Garroth shot at me.

"Heheh, no, our mom was a nice mom before your mom got involved." I said in the least rude way possible because Aphmau liked him, but I didn't. It still ended up coming off rude, and he was about to make a come-back when Vylad came in.

"They both seem like they rub off on each other, and it just started escalating." Vylad said, stopping us from continuing the little argument that might have turned into a fight.

"Uh, true. Uh-" Aphmau started, but the emo dork cut her off.

"Whatever. We're stuck in this stupid park in the stupid sun." Zane groaned walking off.

I don't blame him. The only reason I came to the park in the summer was because mom was always on me and Aphmau.

"Hey baby brother, where are you going?" Garroth asked him.

"I'm going to sit under a tree, on my phone, and be as isolated from you three as possible." He grumbled.

"Huh?"Aphmau said.

"What did I do" I yelled.

He was about to start something but Garroth was quick to stop this.

"Nope! Come on now, you heard Mom, we need to get you into a sport." Garroth said strictly.

"I'm not doing it." He argued, crossing his arms.

"If he doesn't have to, I don't want to either!!" I yelled, joining the argument

"Yes, you are." Aphmau said glaring at me.

"Why should I?" I tested her.

"If you don't, I'll hug you in front of the whole school every chance I get for the rest of the year." Aphmau whispered so all of us could hear. She was smirking.

"I second that for Zane!" Garroth said, looking at Zane.

Zane and I were silent for a second as Aphmau giggled.

"I hate you, Garroth." Zane said.

"I second that for Aphmau," I said, mocking Garroth.

She gave me a glare, and I immediately shut up.

"Ee- S-so Vylad! Um, pick a sport." She said, covering up what she was doing.

"Ha! Easy!" As he said that, Zane walks over to a nearby light pole and sits under it, "Soccer!"

"Uh-" I said, trailing off.

"Are you sure? I was thinking base-" Garroth started, but Aph cut him off.

"I love soccer, Vylad! Oh my gosh! Hehehehe!" She squealed.

"Really? You should have said something earlier when we were talking about it with Laurance. Y-You should try out for the soccer team." Garroth said, stuttering a bit.

"Mm- well, I was thinking about it, but, I played a lot of soccer in elementary school, so I was thinking about trying something new, like track or something, to increase my endurance. Haha." Aphmau laughed.

"Dedicated girl, huh?" Garroth chuckled.

*Haha! YEAH! I just... really, ahem, love soccer. "She said, getting a bit uncomfortable, so she stopped rambling.

"Me too!" Vylad said happily.

"Haha! Awesome!" Aphmau said again

"Oh great." Zane said sarcastically.

"In fact, our mom has a soccer ball in her car. I'll go get it if you guys go find a spot we can play at." Aphmau offered.

"Deal! I know the perfect spot!" Vylad said, running off.

Aphmau's Point Of View

"Hehe! Alright, you guys go, and I'll  meet you there, ok? See you there! Uh, you too, Zane. Heh. Uh- wait. I should really text FC. Uh- ugh, my battery's dead. Oh well, I'll message him later. Hehe!" I said aloud.

Y/N just walked off with the rest of them. To be honest, Y/N is great at soccer she just doesn't play it often. She's not really one for sports, but when she gets into it...SHE REALLY GETS INTO IT!

~TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE PERSON WHO RUINED TRAVIS~

"... I can't believe I'm doing this..." Zane mumbled.

"Okay, Zane... so we're going to introduce you to the sport slowly. Nothing too intense for you since we know that running is out of the question." Vyald instructed.

When he said that, Y/N snickered and moved on.

"Oh, I can run." He said.

"R-really?" Vylad asked him, shocked.

"Yep. Away from you." He said, smirking under his mask or not. I couldn't tell.

Y/N raised her hand, and Vylad called on her like a teacher.

"You know what? Never mind, it's stupid." She said, kicking a rock.

"Come on, it can't be that bad." Vylad said, interested in what she had to say.

"No, maybe I shouldn't," she said, sighing.

No, go ahead, it's fine. We won't get mad," Vylad encouraged.

"Ok then....." she trailed off.

"Yeah?" Vylad pushed.

Can I sharpen my pencil? Y/N asked, grinning.

We all stared at her except Zane he just snickered and looked away.

..."Okay! You're going to be preventing me from scoring a goal. Now, you can touch the ball with your hands if you need to, but-" Vylad said, ignoring Y/N.

"I hope Zane isn't killing the mood for you. I know you were excited to play soccer." Garroth said, nudging me.

Aphmau: Mm, oh, I'm actually alright with this. It's nice to see Zane at least... humoring the idea. Besides, I have a dorky emo sister too, you know.. They both are usually alone, though.... I quickly responded.

"He prefers to be like that. Which is why I try to respect... But, heh, he's my brother. I can't help but love the little guy, heh." Garroth said, chuckling.

"Heheh. That's really sweet of you, Garroth. I feel the same way for S/N/N. I happily said.

"Thanks. You know, you were the very last person I imagined spending the day with. Our mom dragged us to this park to meet her friend and told us about her daughters. It was weird that it turned out to be you and Y/N. He explained.

"Heh, I was actually thinking the same thing, hm."

:...I'm actually really happy about this." He gushed, and I started blushing.

"Uh..." I said, trying to come up with something to say.

"You're blushing." Garroth pointed out, making me more unable to speak.

"Uh, well, I just..." I started but got cut off.

"I don't want to play with you, Vylad!" Zane yelled.

"Fine, then Garroth will kick the ball to you." Vylad insisted.

"No!" Zane yelled again.

"What's going on?" Garroth said as we walked up to the two.

"Zane's being emo again and saying that he doesn't want me or you to kick the ball to him." Vylad explained to us.

"It's stupid!" Zane argued, crossing his arms and looking away.

"You just don't want Garroth or I to show you up." Vyald teased.

"S-Shut up, Vylad." Zane stuttered.

Y-Y-Y/N will play with you, Zane. Heh. I told him.

"...Her? Hahahaha! I bet she can't even kick a ball far enough to reach me!" He said laughing at her.

"What have you done?" I whispered to him.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT ME?!" She said angrily, marching over to us.

"Zane, that's not very nice to say." Garroth stated obviously, nervous from what I whispered.

"HAHAHAHAHA! OH, I'M SO SCARED! I'M SO SCARED OF THIS M/N/N!"

"What did you just call me?" She snarled.

"Heh, I've heard your nickname going through the school. I heard someone used to call you that at your old school. I'm not exactly scared of you." He said, smirking under his mask.

Y/N goes to the ball and kicks it into the net, no problem.

"Hahahaha! You know the point of me doing this is for you to actually block it, you know." She teased.

That was a practice run! I'm ready this time." He said, standing up straight.

Y/N's Point Of View

I thought of all the mean things he said about me and released it into that kick. The ball went high into the air and hit Zanes good eye.

"I have to say, I wasn't expecting you to catch the ball with your face! Hahaha." Garroth laughed, pointing at him.

SHUT UP, GARROTH! He yelled.

Oh my Irene! Zane, I'm so so so so so so sorry she did that to you! Aphmau said apologetically.

You did that on purpose!" Zane accused.

"I swear! I didn't mean to! I'm just angry, and when I'm angry, things like that happen, hehe...." I said nervously.

"Well, you could have told me that sooner!" He yelled, holding his eye.

"I'm so sorry, Zane! Is your eye okay?" I asked him with a worried expression.

"Ugh, I'm fine. Just stings a bit." He said, still holding his eye.

"Zane's always had his other eye messed up a bit because- Vylad started but got cut off by emo boy here.

"Shut up, Vylad!" He yelled.

He should be grateful he has siblings. Some people don't have anybody, and they're always gonna be there for him.

Just because Aphmau is annoying doesn't mean I don't care.

"In any case, I think we're going to take a break with this. I'm glad you tried, Zane." Garroth stated happily patting his shoulder.

"Whatever." He mumbled.

Soon enough, mom and Zianna showed up.

"Oh, Zuzu! What happened to you?!" Zianna said. I chuckled at his nickname. I remember calling him that once.

"I'm so sorry, Mrs. Zianna. We were playing soccer, and I accidentally kicked the ball into his face, I didn't mean to, I just-" I started but got cut off by Zianna.

"Haha! Oh, is that all? Oh, He'll be fine. I have three boys, and Zane's been through worse." She explained.

"I'm sorry!" I squeaked ready for a punishment from mom.

"Did you tell Zane, "sorry"?" Mom asked me.

"I've been saying that this entire time. Of course, I have Mom! I'm sorry!" I said sadly.

"You better have." Mom said sternly.

"Oh Sylvanna, this is totes deja vu! Remember when Y/N did this exact same thing to Zane when the kids were playing dodgeball way back in the old neighborhood?" Zianna asked.

"Huh?" I asked, confused.

"That's totes, right! I remember that!" Mom exclaimed.

"Wait, what? What do you mean, Mom?" Garroth asked Zianna.

"Oh, this happened before!" Zianna said again.

"When? We just met Aphmau and Y/N." Vylad stated also a bit confused.

"Hahahaha! Oh no, don't tell me you don't remember each other?! Hahahahaha!" They both said laughing.

"We all used to live in the same neighborhood when you were all so tiny. Remember? You all used to play together almost every week." Mom explained to all of us.

"Oh girl, I was so devastated when your family moved." Zianna said.

"WHAT?!" we all said shocked.

So you're that little girl that wore that red dress way back then. And your the girl who would always carry around that pony from the show... Garroth stated.

"And those three boys, I vaguely remember-" Aphmau said with wide eyes.

"Oh, this is so cute! I didn't realize they didn't remember! We need to catch up more. Sylvanna, how about you, Y/N and Aphmau come over for dinner tonight?" Zianna offered mom.

"Sure! That sounds wonderful! We have to head home and wash up, but maybe I'll grab a dish or something." Mom said happily.

"Oh, bring those quesa -dillas- as you used to make!" Zianna exclaimed pronouncing quesadillas wrong.

"They're called quesadillas que sa di as, Zianna." Mom corrected.

"They're called delicious to me! Haha!" She laughed.

"All right, then. We'll see you later tonight, then." Mom said as I followed but heard Aphs conversation with Garroth.

This is going to be a strange evening....
