Y/N's Point Of View
"Oh, Sylvanna! These quezidaylas are amazing a usual!" Zianna complimented mom.
Right now we were at the Ro'meaves Garroth, Aphmau and I watching our mothers in disgust.
"Hahaha! It's pronounced quesadillas kay su di as, Zianna." Mom corrected her.
"That's what I said, macarena." She exclaimed.
"Hahahaha! You haven't changed a bit in years." Mom chuckled.
"Never, girlfriend!" Zianna said like a teenager.
"BFFs fo' life, yo!" Mom yelled.
"Fo' sho'!" Zianna agreed.
"Ugh, Mom!" We all said.
"Do you remember our moms being this embarrassing?" Aphmau asked Garroth.
"I think we were too young to remember." Garroth noted.
"Well, at least it isn't at school. Heheh. Ugh." Aphmau laughed awkwardly.
"That would be a nightmare. Ha. Hey, um, maybe I could show y'all around the house. That way, we don't have to listen to our moms' embarrassing conversations." Garroth offered us but was looking at Aphmau.
"That sounds like a plan." Aphmau agreed, while I just nodded.
"These are our stairs." He explained walking over to his stairs.
"Wow, I've never seen stairs before! How do you have access to such technology? Hehehe!" Aphmau joked.
"Hahaha. I didn't mean it like that." He giggled.
We walk up the stairs and Garroth walks up to a door.
"Heh, anyway, over here is Zane's room," Garroth opened the door and basically screamed at Zane, "HEY BABY BROTHER!"
"GWAH! GARROTH! CAN'T YOU SEE I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMETHING?" Zane yelled back.
"Are you playing that dumb game again? You know we have company over. Just pause it and come downstairs."
"GET OUT, GARROTH! I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF A DUNGEON! I'LL COME DOWN WHEN I FEEL LIKE IT! NOW SHUT THE DOOR AND LEAVE!" He yelled again.
Garroth was about to close the door when I put my foot in the crack.
"What are you-" he started but I just looked at him sincerely. He nodded and took Aphmau with him.
I opened the door and saw Zane just sitting there playing his game. I stood there watching him, meanwhile he didn't even realize I was there.
I tapped his shoulder nervously and he turned around.
"GARROTH I TOLD YOU-oh it's you." He scowled.
"What do you want!" He said with a hint of annoyance in his tone.
"I-I just want to talk." I stated calmly.
"About?" He said turning off his laptop, looking at me with an expression saying this better be good or else.
"W-why do you hate me?" I asked him.
"Why do you care?" He shot back.
"I just wanna know what I did to make you hate me." I quietly said.
"Well you only know me for my brother!" He stated.
"B-but that's not true at all." I said.
He was walking closer to me and I was walking closer to the wall. I ended up slipping and fell on the floor beside his bed. Under his bed was a piece of light blue construction paper that brought back a lot of memories.
I grabbed the piece of paper and read through it.
"You-you still have this?" I said on the verge of tears.
"THAT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING I'M NOT THE SAME PERSON I USED TO BE SO JUST DROP IT!!" he yelled grabbing the piece of construction paper from my hands.
As I was walking out I saw him crumble it up and toss it in his trash can and go back to his game.
I mentally slapped myself for ever being friends with that bitch. He doesn't even care anymore. I saw Aphmau and Garroth in his room so I walked inside to join them
"Ah, but I did say I played console games. I just, don't have much time for them. I'm the captain of the baseball team, you know." Garroth said.
"Huh? You are?!" Aphmau exclaimed in shock.
"Yeah, you didn't know?" Garroth asked her surprised she didn't know that.
"Th- uh, that's awesome!" Aphmau cheered.
"Heh, not to gloat, but also I'm the star player as well." He stated proudly.
I decided I would speak up because I didn't want it to seem obvious I was hurt from the conversation I had with Zane.
"Wow, that is, um, absolutely gloating right there, bud." I said patting his shoulder.
"Heheheh. What? It can't be gloating if it's true." He chuckled actually noticing my existence.
"Heh, fine, I'll- give you that." I pointed out.
"Wait, I remember playing t-ball with you when we were kids." Aphmau exclaimed snapping her fingers.
"That's- right, I remember." Garroth said.
I nodded also remembering.
"Heheh, heh. Hm." Aphmau laughed.
"You were both really bad at it if memory serves me correctly." Garroth said.
"Ah! Well, it's not like I was going to be captain of the baseball team or anything back then! Heh!" Aphmau shot back.
"No, you weren't. But you would get distracted by the snails and lizards you found while at the bases." Garroth stated pointing at Aphmau, "And you, wouldn't stop rambling about how great that pony show was you didn't even notice you were supposed to run to the next base."
I blushed out of embarrassment knowing I used to be obsessed with that show. But that quickly turned into a frown when I remembered that memory I first showed Zane MLH.
"Heh, I couldn't help it! Snails and lizards were cool! Still are!" Aphmau defended making me snap out of my train of thought.
"Heh, they are. Funny, I remember you being a tomboy in a cute red dress." He chuckled, And you were a tomboy wearing a black hoodie holding a pony plush.
"I still am! Kinda. I just developed these things called feelings. I wish I didn't have them." Aphmau stated.
I sighed, knowing I had just started having feelings too.
"Feelings? For... someone?" Garroth asked, making it so fricking obvious he was crushing on her.
"Mm- Heh, well, -" Aphmau started, but my new worst enemy walked in, interrupting her.
"Garroth, this is gross." Zane said, disgusted.
I quickly put my head down, not wanting to look at him.
"Uh- Zane?!" Aphmau yelled, confused.
"Ah, hey, baby brother." Garroth greeted.
"Why don't you just go kiss her already? It's making me sick listening to you try to flirt." Zane shot at him.
"Uh, FLIRT?!" Aphmau shouted, getting flustered.
"Calm down, baby brother. We were just having a conversation about the good old times." Garroth said calmly.
"You mean, the times we don't remember that well? Oh yeah, those were good times." He sarcastically said.
Yeah, because that's what you remember..
"Come on, Zane. You must have some good memories of Aphmau or Y/N.
"I don't. And honestly, I'd prefer it to stay that way." He said stubbornly
"Zane, that's not nice!" Garroth scolded.
"Mm- I, heh, I vaguely remember you being a big crybaby, Zane. Hehehe!" Aphmau said trying to ease the tension.
"HEY!" Zane yelled defensively.
Soon Vylad walked in and finished the story.
"And then Garroth and Aphmau would tease you, but Y/N would come and push back Garroth and Aphmau. Remember?" Vylad said.
"Heh! Huh." Aphmau chuckled.
"Huh?" Garroth said worried that he used to be that mean to his brother.
"WHAT THE? WHERE'D YOU COME FROM, VYLAD?!" Zane yelled.
"From across the hall. You know, half brothers exist too, Zane." He shot back.
"HMPH! Whatever." Zane grumbled.
"I don't remember ever teasing Zane. I remember being a good big brother." Garroth said trying to think back.
"Mmm.. Nope. You're a great big brother now, but back then, you teased Zane a lot, with Aphmau's help, and Y/N stood up to y'all."
"Huh?" Aphmau said in confusion.
"We did?" Garroth asked, guilt in his eyes.
"Wow, actually, It's kinda coming back to me" Aphmau quietly said.
At that point Zane was looking down at his feet. I lifted my head to see he was doing that but quickly loked back down not wanting to make any physical contact with him.
"Huh, I- do remember that, actually." Garroth said scratching the back of his head.
"Y/N was always looking out for Zane!" Vylad finished looking between the two of us.
"And you were always eating dirt, Vylad." Zane shot at him.
"H-HEY! Heh, what can I say, I love nature." Vylad said about to lose his cool.
"... and glue." Zane said again smirking.
"Uh-" Aphmau awkwardly said.
"And I still got into Okhasis Prep." Vylad said proudly.
Aphmau started giggling.
"WHATEVER! I DON'T EVEN CARE ANYMORE! I'M GOING BACK TO MY ROOM UNTIL DINNER!" Zane yelled.
"Uh-" I started.
"Oh, come on, baby brother, don't be like that." Garroth tried comforting him, but failed miserably.
"I'LL BE HOWEVER I WANT TO BE! YOU CAN GO AND TRY TO FLIRT WITH THAT GIRL WOMAN THING! I'LL GO BACK TO MY ONLINE GAMES, BECAUSE I OBVIOUSLY HAVE MORE GAME WITH THE ONLINE BABES THEN YOU EVER WILL WITH THE REAL ONE!" He said slamming the door behind him.
For some reason I was hurt by that last statement but didn't look into it.
"Well, that escalated quickly..." Vyald trailed off.
"Um, I'm sure Zane didn't mean any of that." Aphmau said trying to lighten the mood.
"Puberty is hitting him hard. He's been on a roller coaster of emotions" Vylad said awkwardly.
"Uh, puberty?" Aphmau asked.
"Either way, if Zane has online friends he's talking to, then I'm happy for him. I have to admit, though. He's been talking out a lot of his anger on me recently. It's starting to get annoying." Garroth said looking down.
"At least he acknowledges your existence." Vyad mumbled.
"Aww, Vylad. Zane loves you. He's just going through a phase." Garroth comforted patting his shoulder.
"I know. Still..." Vylad mumbled again.
"Kids! Dinner's ready!" Zianna yelled.
"Huh Who's that?" I asked myself.
"Looks like I made it home just in time, then." He said looking at Garroth and Vylad.
"Dad!" They both cheered.
"Dad?" I ask again.
Garroth and Vylad left so Aphmau and I followed.
"Hahaha! Look at you, Y/N and Aphmau. You've grown so much!" Mr. Ro'maeve said.
"Heh, H-hi, Mr. Ro'maeve!" Aphmau stuttered out, as I waved.
"Please, call me Garte. I bet you have all the boys chasing you at school." Garte said.
"You have no idea" I mumbled to myself so no one heard me. At least I THOUGHT no one heard me.
"No, do not give her any ideas! She is not boy crazy at all, and I would like it to stay that way!" Mom scolded Garte.
"Right, stay away from those boys that aren't mine!" Zianna added.
"Right! Zianna's boys know better than to get all kissy-lovey-dovey-goo goo-eyes." Mom happily stated.
"Tell that to Garroth." I said but also heard someone else say it.
It was Zane. I decided not to talk anymore.
"What?" Garroth asked confused.
"Ugh, Zianna, is there anything to drink? I'm thirsty." Garte asked.
"Not as thirsty as Garroth is, apparently." Zane chuckled.
"Ugh, Zane." Garroth said in a super angry sexy way.
"Ah, I forgot the water. I'll be right back! While I'm up, does anyone else want something to drink? I got this red drink that's totes the rage!" Zianna exclaimed.
"I don't, but I'll help you take the rest of the food out of the oven, girlfrand." Mom states and walks out with Zianna.
"I bet Garroth would want a red drink in a small glass. Heheh!" Zane said referring to Aphmau.
"Zane, stop it." Garroth said in the deep voice again.
"Stop what, Garroth? I'm just trying to help you out with your "game." Zane said innocently.
"I know what you're doing, Zane, and it's getting annoying." Garroth said gripping on the table cloth.
"Uh, hey, Dad? Maybe you should tell Garroth and Zane to stop fighting." Vylad said referring to Garte who was sitting there.
"Hm, they're fighting? Well, Garroth, Zane, stop-" he started but got cut off by a phone ringing, "Ugh, shoot! This is about the beach house. Excuse me for a second, I need to take this call upstairs. Hopefully, I can close this deal."
He walked upstairs just leaving all the kids here.
"All I'm saying, Garroth, is you have this horrible habit of flirting with girls and then not following through. How do we know this isn't any different?" Zane said.
I thought about it for a second and realized Zane was sort of right about this.
"Zane, stop. Now! Rgh!" Garroth yelled.
"Temper, temper! Fine, I'll stop. Heheheh, But before I do, maybe you'd like some of these mashed potatoes? They're small and cute, just like you like them." Zane said calmly, pushing Garroth's last button.
"ZANE!" Garroth yelled banging his fist on the table and leaving.
"Bahahahahaha!" Zane laughed.
"Not cool, Zane." Vylad said.
"I-I'm going to go check on him." Aphmau said standing up from the table and walking away.
I sighed and shook my head looking at my hands.
Zane must've noticed because he smirked and commented.
"Something wrong? You don't seem like the overconfident bitch you were at the soccer field." He commented.
"Shut up Zane.." I quietly said pushing in my chair, and leaving to go look for Aph.
I walk toward the backyard and saw Garroth and Aphmau kissing passionately.
I instantly grabbed my phone and took a picture of the scene.
This might come in handy hehe.....
