This was Jian Qing's first time properly looking over An Yu and her companions. Moving her gaze, she rested her fingertip on her chin, "Are you done talking? If so, get out of my sight. You're all ruining my appetite."
"You..." Yang Xiang's face reddened in anger, raising her hand to slap Jian Qing, but Yang Lin by her side pulled her back just in time.
"Xiangxiang, don't act impulsively." Grandfather was clearly biased towards Jian Qing. If they hit her here and Grandfather found out, they'd be in big trouble.
"Sis, why are you stopping me?" Yang Xiang pulled her hand out of her sister's grip, shooting daggers at Jian Qing with her eyes. Unfortunately, Jian Qing was leisurely drinking tea, completely ignoring her.
Yang Lin frowned and whispered a few words into Yang Xiang's ear. Afterward, there was a hint of unwillingness in Yang Xiang's eyes, but she didn't try to strike Jian Qing again.
"An Yun, why aren't you guys upstairs?" A wilful voice sounded from behind. The speaker was Xiang Cheng, An Man's only son. A well-known wastrel in Beijing, always idle yet lustful, it made An Man simultaneously furious and helpless.
Having waited for a while in the private room without seeing anyone, Xiang Cheng had come downstairs to find them.
"Oh, where did this beauty come from?" Catching a glance of Jian Qing, Xiang Cheng's eyes lit up. The greed in his gaze was unsettling.
On the day of Old Man An's birthday feast, Xiang Cheng had drunk too much and crashed as soon as he got home. With that, An Man didn't bother inviting him to the feast as well. After Jian Qing's sudden appearance and creating chaos, An Man had no mind to manage Xiang Cheng, who was more than happy to revel outside all day. Thus, he didn't even know who Jian Qing was till now.
As for An Yun and the others, they assumed that An Man had already mentioned Jian Qing to Xiang Cheng. They thought he was trying to tease Jian Qing, just like them. Seeing Jian Qing as unpleasant already, Yang Xiang and the others were delighted to watch the drama unfold, so they remained quiet and watched from the sidelines.
"Xiang Cheng!" Knowing their cousin's character well, An Yun reminded him in a low voice. However, Xiang Cheng, consumed by lust for Jian Qing, did not pay any attention.
"An Yun, I'm interested in this woman, don't compete with me." Xiang Cheng hooked his arm around An Yun's shoulder, leering at Jian Qing.
"...." An Yun's handsome face hardened, and he shook off Xiang Cheng's hand from his shoulder.
Considering his mother's implication that Jian Qing was his father's illegitimate daughter, he had to acknowledge her as their half-sister, even if he didn't want to. And Xiang Cheng expressing lust towards her would mean incest. He spoke without thinking at all.
Not noticing the change in An Yun's complexion, Xiang Cheng stepped forward, intending to sit opposite Jian Qing.
"Miss..."
Before he could even take a seat, Jian Qing's delicate voice rang out, carrying a hint of danger, "Get lost, or bear the consequences."
As a playboy, Xiang Cheng was used to women throwing themselves at him. Being humiliated in public hurt his pride. He was in a predicament - he'd lose face regardless of whether he sat or stood back up.
After weighing the options, Xiang Cheng defiantly sat down.
With a gloomy expression, he glared at Jian Qing, her enchanting face stirring his desire. "Do you know who I am? Women shouldn't be so stubborn, or else they'll become unlucky."
Jian Qing's eyes turned cold, but she remained silent.
Misunderstanding Jian Qing's silence for fear, Xiang Cheng's arrogant smile returned, and he stretched out his hand towards the tea cup in Jian Qing's hands.
Yang Xiang and the others silently watched, knowing Xiang Cheng's lustful nature. This was a perfect opportunity for Jian Qing to get a taste of hardship.
An Yun frowned, feeling a vague sense of unease. He was just about to warn Xiang Cheng, but it was a step too late.
"Hmph!" Watching the approaching hand, a bloodthirsty smile appeared at the corner of Jian Qing's mouth. She picked up a chopstick from the table and stabbed it into Xiang Cheng's hand.
The force behind it was so intense, and the action so swift, that everyone barely had time to react.
"Ah--" A scream like that of a butchered pig emerged, startling everyone in the restaurant.
The scene that met everyone's eyes made them gasp. A chopstick had pierced through the back of Xiang Cheng's hand, creating a blood hole the size of a fingernail. Bright red blood was gushing out profusely, staining his hand completely red.
Xiang Cheng held his injured hand, sweat beads dripping from his forehead. His face twisted gruesomely in pain as he grimaced with each breath.
"...." Everyone looked at Jian Qing in fear. They didn't understand how a fairy-like woman could generate such force to create a blood hole in Xiang Cheng's hand with just a chopstick.
They surely had underestimated the woman. This terrifying thorny beauty was far beyond what they had imagined.
Everyone looked at Jian Qing and subconsciously stepped back.
Most people here were familiar with Xiang Cheng, as his scandals were no secret to anyone. It seemed like he finally met his match this time.
"Jian Qing, what are you doing? Technically, he is your cousin." An Yu seized this chance to condemn Jian Qing.
Besieged by pain and the noisy surroundings, Xiang Cheng barely heard An Yu's words. No one else caught the term "cousin."
Jian Qing wiped her hand using a tissue before glancing sidelong at An Yu, "I already warned him before, if he insists on acting this way, he has to bear the consequences. Also, stop trying to make me your relative. I don't have relatives like you."
After ditching the tissue, Jian Qing called the waiter over to pay the bill.
"Crazy bitch, you hurt me and now you want to run? Dream on." Xiang Cheng took a deep breath before yanking the chopstick out of his hand, causing veins to pop out on his forehead.
"Ah--"
Bloody spray spouted out causing Yang Xiang and the others to instinctively shriek a bit. Their faces turned a few shades paler.
Seeing the situation worsening, An Yun quickly grabbed some tissues and rushed forward to cover Xiang Cheng's wound to prevent excessive blood loss.
