Cycle after cycle we expand and cycle after cycle we kill our own people. What could my people become if wars were to cease? Lords of the planet would be a few thousand cycles away. Yet we innovate new ways to kill, we stumble upon ways to increase food production and our populations starts to bloom at an even faster rate than ever imagined and yet wars have become even deadlier. Wars were fought with weapons made of sticks and stone before and now we have weapons made of earth, of metal. It is easier than ever to take lives and we continue to do so. There have been great books written on the ways to efficiently reap lives and wage wars. Our history is one of death and destruction, what does that say for our future?
A new age is upon us with the advances of our technology. Our tools are much better leading to an elevation of my peoples lives. This will cycle to improvements in the future. My people are innovative and we always seek more. I can not tell where we will be in 50 cycles nor 1,000 yet, I do know that we will still be waging wars. Wars that will make the ones of the past seem like Childs play. I hope this new age puts a fear into my people and the destruction we can bring to ourselves. I just fear we won't learn til its too late.
