Yosaku and Johnny hugged each other in fear as they instantly regretted their decision to train such a skill.
Sanji and Zoro also flinched. Who the heck wants to die in exchange for such a ability?
Nami was truly scared by the revelation as she jumped at Liz in horror.
Meanwhile, Usopp's body didn't move. In fact, his body wasn't shaking just like earlier. That's because he lost consciousness after Luke said his warning.
"Admirable. He lost consciousness while standing." Luke nodded in appreciation as he gave a thumbs up at Usopp.
"Take him to the side. His training type is the same with Nami."
"B-Big bro Luke! I change my mind!" Yosaku said with same enthusiasm as before. However, his request was the other way around.
"M-Me too Big bro Luke!" Johnny also cried just like Yosaku. Practically both men were hugging Luke's thigh while begging.
Luke naturally agreed as he swiped both men to the side leaving Zoro and Sanji behind while staring at him with apprehension.
He noticed everyone's confusion and doubt. He then explained,
"What Luffy did was like a test. But his test was harsher than mine in actuality. Because he's testing your conviction, your Will and everything within you. If you can't stand it, losing your consciousness is the least punishment. If severe, you'll probably live in fear all your life. Your ambitions crumbled, your dreams will shatter, you'll become a total waste with no goals in life."
"..." Everyone saw the light after Luke explained Luffy's ability. They were truly shocked by the perks of this ability.
"I let you experience it because Luffy's ability is at the minor stage. Meaning it's still developing from the bottom. When he further hone that ability, I don't think you all be able to stand it." Luke added.
"No wonder. I felt Luffy's Will was really strong at that time." Sanji nodded after contemplating.
"What about you Luke? What's your test about?" Liz asked from the side out of curiosity.
"Hmm. I didn't get to test Usopp but it's fine. Actually my test is a lot easier than Luffy. I'm only stimulating one emotion on a target, that is fear. However, the punishment is a bit harsher than Luffy." Luke didn't say further as everyone already knew the result.

"Ne Rooku! I wanna try it!" Luffy got curious as he stared at Luke with interest.
"Then do you fear me?" Luke asked Luffy.
"Not one bit." Luffy shook his head.
"Then you passed the test. I already spoiled one of my secrets so everything won't make any sense to you." Luke shrugged too without any care.
"Eeeh? Boring." Luffy picked his nose while being annoyed.
"So, let's say you killed Usopp. Are you able to bring him back to life?" Sanji asked.
"Hohoho! Who knows? I never tried." Luke laughed eerily as he made the crowd shivered in fear.
"Now then, did we pass the test?" Zoro asked with a serious face. He was inspired by this ability of Luffy and finally saw a way on how to deal with Mihawk, or so he thought.
"In a sense. Let's just say I can see potentials in people. You two indeed pass but I still stay true to my words. It's not worth your time learning the ability of Luffy. It will come naturally through intense battle experience." Luke shook his head.
Zoro and Sanji frowned. They felt like Luke was playing with them.
"Okay, listen up."
Luke shrugged as he stated,
"Luffy's ability is a part of a concept called Haki. There are three types of Haki. Armament Haki, Observation Haki and Conqueror's Haki."
Usopp already gained his consciousness as he got puzzled about what's happening. It was as if the test earlier was a fluke.
Luke took his time as he fully explained the properties of each type of Haki until evening.
"Before you guys can touch these concepts, an intense training is needed. And we will start from the simpliest Haki first."
"Zoro, Yosaku, Johnny, Sanji and Usopp. From now on, five of you will take a blindfold starting from tomorrow to practice the Observation Haki. Luffy is excluded since he already knew this concept."
Luke clapped his hands after finishing all the introductions.
"Heh! Now we're getting somewhere." Zoro was fired up as he grinned.
"Interesting. The ability to evade attacks flawlessly and can expand my senses." Sanji suddenly shook then his eyes turned into hearts. He exclaimed,
"I can finally peek when a lady is taking a bath!! Nami-chuaaaa-"

Nami angrily smacked Sanji's head.
Luke smiled at the antics of Sanji. In fact, Sanji was only joking. No Observation Haki can peek at a person in distance. It can only detect. Perhaps there is one, the pinnacle form of it.
"Anyway Zoro and Sanji, both of you will also learn Armament Haki. I see both of you are capable, so you two will face double the pressure and I will also personally focus my attention on you both. Plus, Luffy will join in with you two. However, his training program is a bit upgraded than yours so if you two want to catch up, it will depend on how high your convictions."
"OOOH! There's another program for me?! Awesome! I can't wait for it!" Luffy jumped excitedly much to the feeling pressured Zoro and Sanji.
"What about our place to train? Going Merry surely can't take it." Usopp said in agitation.
"We hijack any sailing ship available and tow it to our ship to be a training platform. If it got destroyed, we replace one by hijacking another." Luke replied calmly.
"Then the speed of our ship will reduce by half if we do that." Nami expressed her concern.
"Don't worry. I've got a plan. I always improvised." Luke waved his hand as if he already prepared everything.
Everyone came to an agreement with Luke's arrangement.
Nami asked, "What about my training?"
"My hands are full at the moment. I didn't expect to train most of you all at once."
"Anyway, like I said, your training is different. You will get a chance to obtain the power that can rule the seas. Not only you but Usopp, Yosaku and Johnny too. Even Liz can have one if she wants." Luke explained.
"The power of a Devil Fruit? Ruling the seas?" Johnny and Yosaku gulped in anticipation.
Everyone in the crew have vague details about Devil Fruit Holders. And Luke and Luffy are one of them.
"That's- That..." Nami was speechless. She felt everything Luke said was surreal.
Zoro and Sanji were waiting for Luke's explanation why he excluded them to take a Devil Fruit.
Luke squinted his eyes at the two as he said,
"As all of you guys already know, I and Luffy are Devil Fruit Holders. We obtained extraordinary power with this Fruit. However, Devil Fruit Holders have some fatal weaknesses too." Luke paused before he continued, "One of those are, we Devil Fruit Holders are vulnerable when we came in touch with sea water. If something unexpected happen to us as we ended up drowning, someone need to save us."
He also explained the three types of Devil Fruit namely Paramecia, Zoan and Logia. He also explained the varieties like Normal, Special, Mythical, Ancient and so on.
Zoro and Sanji finally understood Luke's intention. Although a bit bothered why they weren't chosen to have Devil Fruit, they are also confident with their own capability.
"I possess the power to govern any types of blood while Luffy is a rubber man. Now aside from Zoro and Sanji, who wants to go first?"

"Since all of you raised your hands, we will do this on draw lots!" Luke said.
"Oooh!! Draw lots! Can I join?!" Luffy hopped in as he also wanted to join in the fun.
"You already ate a Devil Fruit!" Yosaku and Johnny pushed Luffy to the side in a comical way.
In the end, Usopp won the first place as he laughed out loud in triumph.
"Are you ready? I will prepare two Devil Fruits for you base on your specialty. You need to choose one. And choose carefully. Your future achievements will based on which Devil Fruit you selected." Luke smiled as he took two weird looking fruits out of nowhere as he presented it to Usopp.
Everyone stared at the Devil Fruits while taking deep breaths. They didn't know where Luke got those but it's freaking awesome they have a cool crew commander who can freely distribute such a legendary thing.
"On my left palm is a Special Paramecia Devil Fruit that will help you go attack in secret. On my right palm is also a Mythical Paramecia Devil Fruit that any long range attackers desired. That's it. There's no fun if I tell you more as you will have to explore their power for yourself." Luke smiled.
Usopp's whole body was shaking in excitement. Although the Devil Fruits are in front of him, he didn't know which power he wants. That's because both Devil Fruit are exactly what he wants.
"C-Can I choose both?" Usopp asked in nervousness. If he can have both powers, he will become invincible in the seas.
"A person can only consume one Devil Fruit. Consuming another is courting death and even I can't save you when that happens." Luke patiently explained. Anyone cannot consume two or more or they will incur the curse of the Devil Fruit and die. Well, except for Blackbeard.
"Argh!! Why is it so hard to choose?!" Usopp grabbed his hair in frustration.
"Just pick one!" Nami got annoyed. She's the next person to choose so she's a bit impatient and excited. She almost grab one fruit and shove it to Usopp's mouth.
"I'll ask you this." Luke smiled at Usopp as he continued,
"What's your dream?"
Usopp paused as he stared at Luke in surprise. All of a sudden, his mind cleared up as he picked a fruit without hesitation.
"I choose this!"
