Hours later...
At a Sea King's stomach...
Luke sat down on a dark corner while bowing down. His tattered outfit was full of blood while he was holding a strange looking fruit in his hand.
'I finally got it.' He sighed in exhaustion.
"The mission has been successfully completed. Congratulations." Not far away, Pain said with neutral tone. He was eyeing the Devil Fruit in Luke's hand with profound meaning.
"Right." Luke squinted his eyes at Pain. This is the first time he's meeting this unusual man. Pain have full of piercings on his face that makes him looks cool but creepy.
He didn't know much about Pain, but one thing he knew for certain about this person.
This guy is already dead in their story by an unfortunate event.
Whatever the reason this person is now leading those Tailed-Beasts individuals, he will leave it to Blackbeard in the future.
"The New World will be in turmoil in the following months because of what you did. I suggest for you to stay low in our place to recuperate." Pain narrowed his eyes. He saw how powerful Luke was, but he didn't actually took it to consideration.
Luke's win against Big Mom was just a fluke. If Big Mom was cautious enough, he would probably dead a hundred times trying.
However, Pain was apprehensive of Luke's talent and knowledge. To slay a Emperor is a great feat that will make everyone look up to.
"That's right. You are injured, buddy. I don't think you're in condition to roam around." Killer Bee persuaded from the side. After seeing Luke's full capability in battle, he was truely amazed and shocked. Luke was actually showing the tip of the iceberg when they were in training.
"I'm fine." Luke wiped the blood off his face calmly. He looked fairly wretched at the moment by the blood stains of his face. He continued, "I have given two of my rewards. As for the third, come seek me in Grandline few months from now. Make sure to bring me what I need. I'm off."
Swish!
Luke used long distance Flying Raijin as he disappeared in front of the group.
"Bee, he seems wary of me. Did you reveal something you shouldn't?" Pain questioned Killer Bee with stern face.
"Not that I know of. I also noticed his alienation towards me. Maybe that's his nature." Killer Bee shrugged. He carefully observed Luke's behavior these past few months and concluded the guy was cautious and didn't fully trust anyone.
"Let's head back to the base first. The masters are getting impatient for the grand plan." Pain squinted his eyes at Blackbeard who looked gloomy at the corner.
...
Luke arrived at a dimly lit room. He narrowed his eyes as he waved his hand to create a energy bubble to prevent the noise from escaping the room.
"Looks like you failed." A deep voice of a man echoed in the room.
"Sorry to disappoint you but I succeeded." Luke responded as he sat on a darkest corner while taking out the Soru Soru No Mi from his sleeve.
The man's eyes focused on the fruit and was surprised.
"Kahahahaha! Impressive! To think that damnable bitch will fall this early!"
The man laughed out loud, clearly amused.
"Remember your promise."
Swish!
Luke took a deep breath before he disappeared in the room.
The man grinned as he muttered,
"So a brand new era will be born from today henceforth. We'll see what you prepare for me..."
"Master."
"Kahahaha!"
"Q-Q-Quiet down...!" Another man appeared outside the room and shouted nervously.
The laughing man paused as he squinted his eyes at the newcomer.
Smash! BOOOOOOOOOOM!!
...
Somewhere in East Blue...
Swish!
"Ugh!!" Luke arrived on another dark room as he resisted the urge to vomit blood. He looked like he's about to collapse from exhaustion.
A few minutes later after calming down, Luke took out the Devil Fruit.
"All of this mess just to get you huh?" Luke smiled bitterly as he started to consume the fruit. He felt something coursing from within. It was as if a warm air caressed his very soul. He felt good and refresh before that feeling went away in a matter of seconds, returning to his current messy mood.
"Whatever. I didn't regret what I did. If this Devil Fruit fails to meet my expectation, then so be it. I will surely be able to find a new way to achieve my goal and hopefully... return home."
He took a deep breath as he struggled to find a bathroom to properly clean himself.
Hours past and Luke returned to the room with a new set of outfit on.
He wears black tuxedo set with a dark hooded coat that serves as a cloak. The only thing that clear visible in him is his gray-colored belt.
Plop!
Luke dived to a bed as his eyes were droopy. Spending most of his lifespan almost made him want to go have a eternal sleep (death).
"I'll take a nap for a bit."
With that, he closed his eyes. Who knows how long will he be able to wake up with this so-called 'nap' of his.
...
Morning...
Marines Headquarters, Fleet Admiral's office...
A muscular, fair-skinned man with a long, braided goatee and a mustache sat on the main chair reading reports. His cap covers his hair, which is set in a large afro.
In table in front stood a goat that constantly munching on papers as food.
This man holds the highest authority of all the marines.
Marine Fleet Admiral, Saint Sengoku.
He typically wears black-rimmed glasses and a white and gold full Marine Admiral uniform that is adorned with medals. The most distinctive features of this uniform are a life-size seagull on top of his cap, and his oversized Marine coat which he wears like a cape. His coat has the kanji for justice, in blue, emblazoned on the back, and has unique colored cuffs, with his being golden.
Sengoku wore a dark expression when reading the reports. Evidently, the reports are giving him headaches.
"Send Kuzan and Akainu to the New World to calm the situation!" Sengoku issued a command to a marine nearby.
Garp was seen in a corner. His expression wasn't good either. Apparently, one of the Four Emperors, Charlotte Linlin went missing or kidnapped and the underworld took this as insult to their prestiege.
Big Mom holds the most partition of the Underworld's power. If she went missing, the whole world will be in chaos especially the New World.
"I don't think two Admirals can mend the situation out there. Send more Vice Admirals too." Garp commented.
"I can send Vice Admirals but I can't add more of Admirals." Sengoku gritted his teeth as he continued,
"I'm sending two Admirals to another place, the Impel Down. That monster did not only escape the prison. He also injured most of the guards and freed all the prisoners there from level six to level one." Sengoku pressed his temples from the headache.
"Where's the nearest island those prisoners raided? Might as well purge some before patrolling back to East Blue." Garp stood up preparing to leave. He already knew the 'monster' Sengoku was referring.
"No reports yet. There should be one any minute now." Sengoku also found something strange. Prisoners who left the Impel down didn't kill a single guard and they just disappeared from the prying eyes of the world.
"Maybe that 'monster' didn't want to cause trouble yet." Garp said. His main concern right now is to maintain the balance in the East Blue. After saying his piece, he left the room.
Sengoku stared at the window in silent. After a few seconds, he grumbled,
"What a mess..."
What Sengoku didn't know is that, both major events was made by one person.
...
More than a month later...
Luke opened his eyes from his short days of slumber. He felt some people outside as his eyes lit up.
Meanwhile...
"A Caravel!"
"Can we really have this?"
"Yes, please use it."
"It's a slightly older model..."
Luffy was marveling the Sheep Ship when he perceived someone inside the Ship. His eyes light up when he saw the person inside.
"I'm back, Captain." Luke smiled as he greeted.
"OOOOOH!!! Rooku! You're here!"
