"Ah—"
Ruth really lived up to expectations and screamed loudly.
Yi Lin was speechless, "Boss lady, you're a woman who's been through the mill, can't you keep it together?"
Ruth's face reddened, her expression frozen; in that instant, her thoughts may have wandered all the way to the other side of the Atlantic, and she couldn't help but spit, "For crying out loud, I am a fragile little lady!"
"Shh—"
Yi Lin's expression shifted.
She had no time to joke around with Ruth.
The mottled and jagged shadows of the surrounding trees suddenly began to distort creepily.
Upon closer inspection, those holes in the trees began to resemble mouths and pairs of eyes, and coupled with the eerie laughter that seemed to come and go near their ears, Yi Lin and Ruth felt as if they had accidentally walked onto the set of a paranormal film, the effect being extremely realistic and thrilling.
"Hallucination? Psychic attack?"
Yi Lin turned to glance at Ruth.
