Chapter 8 - Chapter eight, The mysterious lady in red.

Calix was really busy, but not so busy to not look towards the entrance. He was looking out for his lady to come and wish him a happy birthday, not this wannabe infront of him, who just tried to kill his woman days ago.

"I must say, you look really handsome today, Calix," Verbena says for the hundredth time since she started to talk to him. He groaned, obviously showing her no interest.

"I appreciate your compliment but this compliment is getting abused by you," he says, trying to sound less rude. Verbena laughed, covering her mouth. Her laugh was something he might comfortably term as flirty.

"You deserve it," she says, slapping his arm with a shy smile. Oh good Lord, why was she like this?

Just then the hall was dark as some maids turned off the candles they could reach. The huge candle chandelier was bright in the middle, that was empty at first. Just then, some ladies in pink walked in. They were ten all in pink veils.

Calix wouldn't be interested, but if looking at them would make Verbena invisible, hey.

At first, the ladies danced in a circle, their gracefulness shining brightly. Everyone was looking at them since they demanded attention when they blew out the lights.

In a slightly broad circle, the girls posed in the same way, bowing. Gasps were heard when a lady in red literally fell from above. Well, not falling, but landing successfully in between the number of dancers. Her clothes were something that could catch even the attention of even female gazes.

The lady in red, was in a crop red glittering top and her skirt started from her waist down. Well, the skirt wasn't any less unattractive than the red top that was strapless, showing a bit of her perfect cleavage. Even the ones who were never perverts couldn't help but look at her ideal-type-of bursts. It was something that couldn't be ignored, but neither was her ant sized waist. But the view went on getting better when you go down her waist to her curvy hips and full bottom. Her glittering red skirt had slits on both sides from the hips down.

There was a protective tight that was also red, but it only stopped to her upper thigh. From then on was her milky white perfect legs. Then strappy sandals started from her upper knee.

Besides, even her face was appealing to anyone. With her shimmering red veil that showed only a pair of seductive eyes in siren makeup. Even her red eye shadow glimmered and shimmered. The upper part of her veil stopped at her head, revealing jet black silky hair in body waves down her bare back to her lower waist. Even her hair had its own charm as it looked like there were strands of red locks running in them jet black. And it was also showered in literal glitters.

In short, every part of her demanded attention, leaving many in confusion on what to look at. Her perfect body? Her seductive eyes? Her silky hair? Her alluring dance? Or her own aura?

The lady in red, at the center of bowing pinkies, moved her hips seductively, aware of the attention on her. She then disappeared into the pinkies who stood up and did circling, also dancing really good, but the red one already took away everyone. They were all waiting for her to pop up from the pinkies.

The pinkies went on dancing for a while, making more wait all the more. When they bowed again, many were excited and to their relief, the red diva appeared from them. But she appeared to do an ending pose, with the pinkies posing below her in squats. They all looked graceful, especially the pose looked good, but the red! The red my Lord God!

"Wow," Calix muttered.

"You really know how to make your balls interesting," Verbena muttered, almost as if she was not happy. Of course she wasn't, Calix had been staring more than he should, first it was the red haired ugly demon in her home, now this one? Did he have a thing for veiled women? She would take notes but she was too beautiful for that sort of thing.

But she would be lying if she said this lady wasn't good. She knew what she was doing.

Calix snapped out of it immediately, but it was too late since he watched till the ladies walked away gracefully. The extinguished candles were relighted. He immediately felt bad and guilty with what Verbena said. Did he really get lost while he wanted to stay loyal? What if his lady came and saw him in such a state?

With that in mind, he walked off with a frustrated groan.

"I did great," the two men outside the ballroom heard a lady's honey voice say with a chuckle. One of the men walked back into the ballroom, leaving the other to follow the lady who managed to snatch many's heart in a single night. By now everyone in the Kingdom would know about the red attired lady at Arch Duke's son's birthday ball.

Weirdly enough, she walked towards the stables, skipping about happily. "I can be like my mother afterall," she chuckled. The man following her could hear. She wasn't even aware of her surrounding. "Atleast it felt good to be out in the public again," she went on and started humming.

When she reappeared again, she was in a decent blue dress and a blue veil that hid her whole head, except her eyes. Her hair was tied in a bun, hidden in the veil. She looked around and went for it. She was rushing out of the Arch Duke's estate, still not aware someone was onto her tail.

She was followed until she got into the Count's estate, discreetly, until she went up the wall into a room. Her room was lit, so when she looked out the window to see if anyone saw her, anyone could see she had removed her makeup, though that didn't mean her eyes weren't seductive. It had a glint of flirt aura in them.

"I want you to find that lady for me. I don't care if she is a lowly bitch," that was Duke Tiago who was mesmerized by the mysterious dancer's everything. He was still at the ball, unable to get over her. Even if he just married a month ago, his wife would suck it up if she felt it was too early for him to find a mistress.

But he wasn't the only one getting greedy that day...
