A week had gone by since the first meeting and everything was back to how it normally was, once again. Grayson happened to pass the same alleyway on his way home and walked all the way to a club not very far from where he lived.
The music was so loud, Grayson could hear it from outside. He walked in a very relaxed manner towards the entrance of the club, ignoring all the people queing to enter. He didn't even have his ID checked.
The bouncers spoke to him a bit and nodded in greeting before letting him in and turning back to the others in the queue.
Jay who was watching from afar, furrowed is brows in confusion and decided to join the queue as usual. He happened to be on the way to the same club Grayson had entered. Jay being a regular at that bar, found it interesting that Grayson was going the same direction he happened to be going the last time they met, and even better Grayson entered the same club he had been a regular at for a while now.
After noting down that he'd seen Grayson for the second time on this day and this time on the notepad on his phone, it was his turn on the line. He showed the bouncers his ID and walked into the club, immediately searching for Grayson everywhere with his eyes.
After checking for a while and not seeing him, he decided to sit at the bar and order.
"The usual?" The bartender asked recognising him.
"The usual." Grayson replied with a sigh.
He looked around him as he waited for his drink, when he saw Grayson on one of the stools not very far from him.
His face lit up and he left his seat, heading for the seat right beside Grayson.
The bartender having made his drink, looked up to hand it to him, only to see he'd left his seat, and looked around and found him sitting beside Grayson.
The bartender looked to be about to say something, but before he could, Grayson stared at him with a raised brow and tilted head as though daring him to say something.
The bartender said nothing, simply dropping Jay's drink in front of him with a polite smile.
Jay raised a hand to call the bartender's attention. "A drink for him too, please." He said, then turned to Grayson. "What would you like?"
Grayson raised a brow. "It's my treat. I owe you one."
"Oh? Alright then." Jay agreed.
"Put his drinks on my tab." Grayson informed the bartender.
The bartender nodded.
Jay took a sip of his drink and turned to Grayson. "I didn't know you came to this club too. This is my first time seeing you here. Is this your first time here?"
"No. It's not. It's just I don't stick around very long, so I'm never here by this time." Grayson explained.
"Oh... I see... Do you live around?" Jay asked.
"Yeah. Do you?" Grayson asked.
"Not exactly... " Jay informed him.
Grayson raised a brow. "Then why do you come all the way over here."
"I just like the atmosphere, I guess."
"Oh? Where do you live then?"
"Like a 20 minutes bus ride from here" Jay took another sip of his drink.
"Interesting..." Grayson replied standing up. "Well, it was nice seeing you again, but I have to get going. Till next time, Jay." Grayson offered a hand to Jay.
Jay smiled and shook his hand. "Till next time Grayson."
Grayson spoke to the bartender and left with a final smile at Jay.
Jay left not long after Grayson did, followed him for a bit and watched Grayson from afar as he entered a house a few buildings away from the club.
After watching him enter, he left.

Grayson stood outside his house with a raised brow, wondering why his front door was open. He blinked once, twice, before tilting his head at a man dressed head to toe like a bodyguard behind him, "Call security, I want to know what happened."
The bodyguard nodded and pulled out a phone to make a call, as he followed behind Grayson.
Grayson came to a stop at the living room where his glass centre table was smashed to pieces, there were blood stains at different places and most of the furniture around the centre table was damaged as well.
Grayson raised both brows even higher at the mess. The sounds of rough breathing from the side of the room caught his attention, he turned his head in that direction, and his eyes landed on two figures at the side of the room.
One of them was a man and he lay beaten really badly and unconscious, bruises marked his body and his body was swollen all over.
The other was a man as well, whose breathing was ragged and he sat hunched over on the floor with his knees raised, resting his hands over his knees as he tried to catch his breath.
The person sat with his back towards the entrance. Grayson's footsteps were always rather light, coupled with the fact the person's own breathing was too loud, he hadn't noticed that Grayson had come in.
"What on earth happened here?" Grayson asked.
The man started in fright, then froze before woodenly turning his head back to see Grayson standing over him. Grayson immediately recognized him. It was Jay.
Jay got to his feet immediately. "You're back!" He cried in surprise, then changed his tone . "I promise it's not what it looks like."
"I don't even know what it looks like." Grayson replied. "What do you expect me to think?"
"That guy," Jay pointed at the unconscious person. "tried to break into your house. Or rather he did break in. I just stopped him before he could do whatever he was planning to do."
"And what was it he was planning to do?" Grayson asked, patiently.
"I don't know, but it can't be anything good. I didn't ask him, but we should probably do that when he wakes up." Jay informed him.
"We?"
Jay looked confused wondering what exactly Grayson was asking.
"We? I think I need an explanation as to why you even know my house. Who exactly are you?" Grayson demanded, putting emphasis on the 'I'.
