Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

The Moon meets The Sun; never heard that one before. Metaphors are one of those beautifully inexplicable things that we love yet never seem to enjoy. Our moon is Christian Sadean, who meets the sun, Venice Aralea. When a false rumor spreads like wildfire, Christian and Venice are urged to meet to discuss the rumor and its integrity. This isn't expected to go as smoothly as you might think, as both are exceptionally prideful and refuse to be disrespected even in the slightest. Unbeknownst to the two, a man speaks to Christian in Venice's name, a man named Nonny.

Silver City, Paeda

"Give me one moment", the guard politely asked. "Of course", I replied delightedly.

A soft mumble was all that could be heard after he entered the throne room. Several seconds later, "Request granted, you may speak to the king", he said in a solid tone. I bowed my head respectfully, walking forward through the mountainous gates as they shifted open.

"What is it that you have for me?", the man asked in a demanding voice, shifting his legs uncomfortably. "Uhh, my king—", I began with a shaky voice before being interrupted. "You will refer to me as Your Highness, I am not your king", he ordered, a grimace covering his dark face. "My apologies! Your Highness I have come to deliver you a message from the Queen of the Stellars", I rambled out. "Speak!", he commanded. I attempted to contain my nervousness, but his sharp glare cut through my soul and I was left speechless in fear. "You have one chance to inform me of your queen's regards", he apprised impatiently. "She would like you to know that she executed nine Crescents for speaking spitefully of her. If you should wish, she said she would be more than glad to wage war against you", I spat out nervously.

An angry snarl filled the room. Goosebumps waved over my body at his intense stare. He remained silent for a moment before taking in a deep breath and answering, "I wish not. But rather I demand to meet with this queen of yours in person". "Are you sure, maybe we could—", I stuttered as he boomed, "Now!". I froze in fear before he continued, "We will convene in my deliberation room. She may bring as many acquaintances as she wishes".

"R-r-right, I'll relay the message", I stuttered, catching my tongue to finish the sentence. I darted out of the room to avoid further confrontation. As I was power-walking down the halls a body leaped in front of me. "Ahh! Please I didn't take anything!", I pleaded in a fearful tone. The guard looked at me puzzled. "No… you dropped this on your way out", he stretched his arm out, holding a concerned expression. "Oh I'm sorry", I put my arms down and retrieved the item. "Don't be", he said, bewildered. I stood there longer than I should have, not knowing if I should keep walking or not. "You may leave if you like", he confirmed for me. "Oh, okay. Thank you?", I said in an uncertain voice. "You're welcome?", he remained bewildered.

I slowly scooted past him before taking off, running as fast as I could go. My super speed isn't as fast as others, I can only reach about 200 mph or so. I just needed to get out of there before they suspected me of stealing or lying.
